I have been downloading league files for a long time, and it has always asked me if I wanted to "open" or "save" the file. Out of the blue, it has stopped doing that and immediately begins "opening" the file. I assume some default setting has inadvertently been enacted. Does somebody know where I can go shut this off and return it to my option. Thanks Jim

Probably better off looking at a tech site as this has nothing to do with the game.

Try right-clicking on the league file, and choose the "Save Target As..." option.

I think somewhere in "File Types" there are control settings for downloads . . . I could go to it, look up exactly what it is, document it, and write a step by step on how to select it to what you want... really, I have all kinds of time

But I'll not leave it at that... here is what you are looking for - I think.

Thank you Gentlemen, I will try both of those when I get home from my 12 hour day at work. I have Windows XP, so I'm not sure if the link will apply to that, but I'll see what I can find. If anyone else knows the sure solution for XP, post it. I knew the solution was out there, as only the best and the brightest play OOTP. Thanks again. Jim

I am also using XP, and I just tried it using the Windows 2000 method, and it worked.

Open Windows Explorer.

On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.

Click the File Types tab, click the file type that you want to view (you'll probably want to select .zip), and then click Advanced.

Click to select the Confirm Open After Download check box.

Click OK.

Awesome! I will definately punch it up when I get home. Thanks again, I apologize for the sarcasm about having "all kinds of time", I certainly didn't mean to imply that my time was any more important than anyone elses. I just knew that somebody in the OOTP community would know the answer. I thought it was a bit hasty to send me trudging off to some tech site, where I wouldn't find nearly the quality or knowledge base as what we have here at the OOTP boards! Jim
