Question Call Ups - Prospects

Since we can not see the minor league stats for players, how do you know which prospect to bring up if they both have a green arrow by them. For example, if I have a 27 yo that is 2.5 stars and 3.0 is there potential, should I bring him up or the 22/23 year old who is 2.5 out of 4.5 stars? Will the youngster be better off staying in the minor to develop more, or are they as good as they're going to get in the minors once they have the green arrow next to them?

Thank you in advance for your help!!

The arrow indicates that the player is probably major-league ready. It's really up to you to look at his stats and the team needs and such to determine whether to call him up or not. BTW, you really want to bring players up if they have 2 star overalls or higher. They're definitely ready.

Thank you, but that was part of my question, since we cant see minor league stats, how do you decide between 2 similar players?

By stats I mean ratings.

Stats wouldn't have a huge impact in real life either... Unless it's dramatic. Players are called up on positional need and internal scouting reports.
If their game ratings are similar like you say then they have equal chance of being successful and I would go by their name
I want 'Johnny homer' on my team way more than 'Jim foul'
