Templates and Rosters Working Together?

I have a template I've created, and I want to apply it to a new game using the MLB rosters. I thought by starting a new game with the rosters I'd be able to just apply the template, and all of my settings would adjust automatically. This doesn't seem to be the case. However, if I create a new game from this template, the rosters are blank.

What's the best way to do this sort of setup?

Save the ML rosters as a template and import them into your other world.

Re-asking: How do I save just the rosters as a template or outside of the saved league itself?

I used the import/export roster feature, and it seemed to have worked? It's tough to tell what's different between the original MLB roster set, and this new one.

Are there any issues with duplication of players or stats in doing this?

THANKS!

So this issue here is that while I can start a new league with my template, I cannot get the latest rosters into it for anything.

I've exported the roster from a dummy quickstart/MLB league, and imported them into my new template league. When I do that, I get duplicated players all over the place.

Even when I remove all players from the teams prior to this, while it works I just end up with duplicate players in the free agent list...I didn't see a place to delete FA as a whole.

Isn't there just a "delete all players" button while keeping the teams in-tact?

Since my next hurdle will likely be this point here...how do the team staffs work in this process?

Thank you!
