almanac basics

I always seem to run into this problem with the almanac. I want to keep all transactions and all boxscores, but after the playoffs end the season seems to reset and when the almanac runs on January 1 I only get the transactions from the end of the playoffs through the end of December. Is there a setting that I'm missing? Should I run the alamanc manually before the offseason begins?

On your GM settings page, make sure you have the option selected to save transactions, etc for the entire season. There are several choices I believe.

Thanks, do you mean in the Global Setup page under setup & options? I do try to always have Keep transactions logs... Keep news logs... and Keep injury logs... set to "All" but run into the same problem of them being wiped out after the playoffs end by the time the almanac runs.

You have a ton of almanac options as well as data dumps. Click on the Game tab and click Almanac and select Almanac options to bring it up. Click on Edit Profile. This is where you select the report options you want included. To select individual reports to include, click the Select Reports option.
Once you get everything set the way you want, click Save Settings.

I am very paranoid about this because I don't want to lose the league history so apologies if I am triple-checking this before I get to the end of the season.

This is from the Manual:

Transaction Logs - Log files related to transactions are deleted on the first day of the offseason each year.

So, since the almanac doesn't run until December 31, does it mean (which has been my experience in the past) that it will never capture the previous season's transactions since they will be deleted after the playoffs?

What does the "Keep All Transactions" setting actually do? Store them in the league history section?

Sorry to bump from July but I am about to end a season in a league I very much want to almanac but am petrified I am going to lose everything.

No one else runs into the issue of the almanac only capturing transactions from the end of the World Series to the end of the calendar year?

Would anyone with the time please walk me through your process step-by-step like I am an infant so that I can understand? Thanks!
