GMs using Mac not able to export

OK, so i've had some really good luck with coming to you guys in the past (thanks for that, you guys rock!), so i figured i'd give this a try as well.

Most of the GMs in my league use a version of Windows, except for 2 GMs that use Macs. Both are able to download the initial league file manually (i linked them to the file on my FTP site). They were able to get the file working no problems.

However they can not export, or update league files via the ingame options on the manager homepages. I had them verify their FTP Options in the game, and those appear fine.

I wouldv'e assumed that it would be an issue where their Macs were blocking OOTP from accessing FTP, however, one of these GMs is in another league with me (not run by me though) and is able to export and update without any issues. This leads me to believe it has something to do with the file, but i don't know what it could be.

I have very little knowledge of Macs, so i feel kind of helpless when trying to help them out.

So would anyone know why they are not able to access the FTP site in game?

Thanks for the help

It might not be the file that is the problem for these two mac users, but instead difference of settings for your league's server vs the other league you are in with them. (I assume its two different hosts that the file is downloaded from).

Can you give a few more specifics? What version of OOTPX are you on (what version are the mac users on?) Your league downloads via FTP you mentioned above correct, not HTTP?

There were some issues that various mac users did have that were reportedly fixed in a more recent patch so that is the first thing I would look at here.

Sorry i haven't gotten back to this, busy week at work.

I did notice that i was not running the latest patch, so i'll go ahead and give that a try. I was running 10.4.29. However reading the list of patches it appears that the mac issues you are refering to were in the 10.4.29 patch, but i should def update anyways. I had already mentioned updating to one of the Mac users, and know that he updated and still was having that issue, however it could still be that i wasn't updated.

As for the FTP host, we actually both bought our ftp sites from the same company, so i think it would be the same host, unless by host you mean the individual sites, in which case they are indeed different as we each bought our own.

There were several patches after 10.4.29, one of the very last ones specifically fixed some ftp issues for mac users. If they are on 10.4.29, you might have them upgrade and see if that resolves their issues. It is likely their ootp version not yours that is the issue here. Your version shouldn't impact their ability to download other than making sure the one they use is compatible to your version.
