Baltimore Expectations

So I usually try to challenge myself with my OOTP games. Typically, my go to is my favorite team: the Phillies, but with the additions they made this off season, they are trending pretty high at the moment, so I decided to have a go at the Baltimore Orioles, a team that put up a .290 winning percentage last season.

So I load up the game, and what do I have as my first expectation from my owner? "Make the Playoffs in 2019." Holy moly. Seems a bit lofty to me.

Welp guess I'll have to see if I can keep my job lol.

I would say the best expectation for Baltimore is "we can't possibly be any worse than we were in 2018". Even if you finish 62-100, which I'm not encouraging, that would be better than they did last year.

In 19 Angelos always wanted playoffs too. I chalk it up to him being senile when I noticed it in 20 too. I just tanked the first season in 20 and he gave more realistic goals for the next year.

Saw them in win now but it just made me laugh. 50 wins is a win for them and I am a O's diehard

I would assume that just his way of saying, "I'm really old so do this for me before I die."

Well the O's thought they were gonna be good last year at this time, I wouldnt be surprised if Aneglos still thinks that

The other demand was "Win the World Series by 2024"

As a die hard O’s fan I got the same thing. But in commissioner mode I made the son Lou the owner and changed his settings to what I feel is more appropriate to what the Orioles are seeing now.

To the O’s GM how awful is that Davis contract and I’m trying anything to get out from under it. No luck so far.
