Historical Players being duplicated?

Was trying to run a fictional league from 1900 to 1960 to get some history going. I realized this morning, I'd forgotten to remove "import real historical rookies". It seems the game has made five copies of every historical player.

Joe Dimaggio plays twice on the Boston team, he's also on the Bronx and in Phoenix. Oh, and he's retired.

Yogi Berra is on 3 different major league clubs, as well as on a single a team and a short season a team.

I was going to submit a trouble ticket on this, but wanted to see if anyone else had run into this and already submitted one.
