"Only in Hindsight"
Remember, only in hindsight to your "decisions" ever seem royally foolish.

Or you couldn't help yourself. That's another thing that happens.

We'll be alright. Our bad decisions are normally misunderstood by other people, aren't they?

Well at least the Ashburn I grossly, and I do mean grossly, overpaid for is on pace to hit .500 with 278 runs scored, 23 triples, 46 homers and 139 RBI. Whew! :P

That's a slippery slope. Balance helps. The whole concept...was foreign to me until it was made clear my economic geniuses.

That pace thing is a little over-rated...thoroughbreds have probably been on pace to beat Secretariat's Belmont run...but at least he's doing well for ya.

At least I resisted overpaying for Bill Singer, only to lose him to another guy who didn´t resist overpaying. That wasn´t you by any chance, was it?

No, I only overpaid for Jackie Robinson & Roy Halladay and it's a new concept to me.
…"I guess..."

Holy smokes, I had no idea there was enough PP in the world to overpay for those guys! I am truly sorry to hear that, but I hope at least they produce for you.

Foolish? Just look at my main and you'll see 25 foolish decisions!
Just one example would be trying to reshape my offense a few seasons back for more power and sacrificing batting average. Needless to say, it didn't work and I'm back to my roots of guys who can't hit a ball 400 feet. Last edited by Magus978; 07-22-2019 at 03:29 PM. |

And yes, Halladay except for one season has been delightful. I sort of hand-picked them, sort of said, hmm...overpaying. Digital bitcoins, digital cards, perfect points, Hmmmm, Yes I did both, I thought this bad decision might not be a bad decision.

If we're at all strict about the other New York team bombs, I was considering putting in some extra effort to get that SE Strawberry, Dave Kingman?...oh and I plan on playing Howard Johnson this year. He had surprising power.

& obviously odd thing they had with the catchers at the same time who were 2 of the most prolific power-hitting catchers in the history of baseball. One guy went by the name of Todd Hundley and didn't always do much else. The other guy....Mike something.

Pizza. Pick up some Mets that get on base like Lance Johnson, Reyes, or believe me, sometimes at Short you can sacrifice one bat at the bottom of the order esp. when we're talking Rey Ordonez.
Amos Otis is a pretty good hitter even though it's a Royals card he played for the Mets. Same with John Olerud and Edgardo Alfonzo...Actually Alfonzo has a Mets card.
