PING: Logo masters, care to explain your craft?

The logos produced on these boards have always been amazing. Got me wondering though so I'll put some questions out there.

What program(s) do you use?
Can you explain the process with which you go about creating a logo?

knuckler gives a great tutorial, for making logos,here.

Make sure you read past the first page....knuckler does a great job explaining his process.

I am not a master, by any stretch, but I use the Photoshop CS2 program.
