You can also purchase a day/month/year pass for MLB's Best audio and listen/watch from the MLB website any games in their library.

Thanks for the info.
So how's the mod going (or should I wait til the game has been out a whole week to ask for it)? I'm waiting for Mel Allen to start my historic yankee dynasty. |

Didn't get it from Bill's Old Time Radio did you? I've got a 4 CD set of games.
As for the MLB stuff, just get a program to capture the sound. I think there's even free ones out there that record anything that goes through the sound card. (Three years ago I also recorded every game on MLB's classic baseball archive.) |

I'll add my vote for Vin Scully.
Some others that would be cool: Lon Simmons Hank Greenwald Duane Kuiper (or of you can do broadcasting teams somehow, him along with Mike Krukow) Or for that matter Joe Garagiola (sp?) along with Scully. |

How about a Harry Kalas mod? A modern, yet classic voice...

I'd love to have the announcer use the player's middle name every once in awhile! |

You can't forget Dave Niehaus of the M's.
"My, oh My!" or "Break out the rye bread and mustard grandma, cause it's grand salami time". A classic grand slam call. |

In fact, if you watch carefully, almost every legendary or great announcer's major signature is already in there. Kalas's "watch this baby, outta here!", Harwell's "looooong gone", Barber, Allen, Caray, Hodges, and on and on...

In addition to JAck Brickhouse for the Cubs, how about Lou Boudreau who broadcast many a game on radio as well as Jiimy Piersall when he was with Harry Caray and the White Sox.
Almost forgot to add Jack Quinlan who broadcast Cubs games with Lou Bodreau before being tragically killed in a car accident. Last edited by Cubs_Fan; 06-20-2006 at 01:41 PM. |
