There is no way someone could have accumulated all those pp even if they sold all their cards. Has to be some kinds of test

Chris is running some tests on system limits, to make sure things don't crash in the extremes. Anyone else is welcome to buy 2B worth of PP if they want to help test out when things go live tomorrow.

This. Just as in OOTP 19, the max bid appears to be how many PP you can cram into four bytes.

That's fantastic! And in accordance with that, 2147483647 is the max of a signed integer in SQL (and probably most programming languages, due to the binary you're quoting).
