Under historical tab, I have everything checked except the boxes for, use random rookies from all eras and import rookies as free agents.

Is that a separate box, use historical minors? I don't see it anywhere. Or is it only when you first set up and you can't change it once the league starts.

Well at any rate, I can continue the way I'm going or restart the season which isn't all that bad since I only played about 10 games. Thanks for the insight. One last thing I'm thing about. If we could block fictional players from reaching the Majors, would it be hard to have added to the game to block real minor league players who never made the majors? Oh, well. Have fun and thanks for the info.

What year are you playing? Do your MLB teams have minor league affiliates?

1969 and yes, I have minor league affiliates. I guess that means I am playing with historical minors.

Okay, I didn't see this post. It looks like you have real minor activated and as Pstrickert said, this can be done, but it's very tricky.

If you select real transactions/real lineups without real minors, you will get only the players that played for a team that particular season. You can pull that teams baseball reference page up and it will match.

Well then if playing with historical minors, adding block minor leaguers who didn't reach the majors this year, would be a nice tool along with blocking fictional players.

Yes. Obviously, I am playing with the minors as I have minor league teams.
I can control my team and run it pretty close to how it should be, but the other teams are on their own. I do like blocking real minors though if it's possible to do in the future. Thanks for your insight.

It's an option in Step 1 of the Historical League Setup Wizard.

also on the historical tab in game setup once you are rolling. you can turn transactions and lineups on and off there as well.

Thanks everybody. I'll reset up 1969. I must have checked the box for minor leagues because I do have them.

Well it looks like im gonna have to scrap this idea. Everything was looking good but then i noticed some players never coming off the IL despite only having 1 day left. The IL seems to be small pain this year.
Think im gonna have to go back to the the ootp20 database. I'll have the actual injuries but it takes away the surprise of reading the news and seeing
a surprise injury. Oh well i can use injurys with historical transactions.

Maybe this can be improved next year so that you can have injuries with historical historical transactions on. Then again i might be the only one who prefers actual historical transactions with fictional injuries.

I went back to the ootp 20 database. I am using historical transactions with injuries and lineups off. At first i ran into the IL problem but then i turned allow ai to make roster changes on and it got a little better. I still get the not enough players message from time to time so i will have to live with it and just rerun the season or edit the player.
Player stats look decent so far
