yes i am getting them in packs now. at least a handful of them. didnt get any in previous 3000 packs.

Yeah, there's dozens of pages of Iron Unsungs on the market now. The bubble of a month or two a go is no more... glad I sold a Jeff Blauser for 2,000 PP. Whoever bought Mitch Harris at tens of thousands of PP... wow.

There's a difference. What you referenced was the actual cards showing up instead of blank cards. That has happened.

What has also appeared to happen is the frequency with which this occurs. There are more iron unsungs showing up now than there were blank cards before.

Not enough on my own to draw definitive conclusions. Got three in 20 packs a couple days ago, which sounds similar to the experience of other posters in this thread, which is not what was happening with the blank cards.

I've gotten about four iron unsung heroes over the last few days while not opening many packs. It's not hard data but it does support what others have reported. The drop rates must have been improved.

I remember when I had a hard to find, complete set of 1952 Topps.... then that fateful day Topps found a few extra pallets in the back of an old warehouse and decided to put them all into circulation...

Never expected anything really. But some of these unsungs have helped to complete a few missions or two which is nice I guess...

It's worse than you imagined. The reward for collecting the 1987 World Champions Minnesota Twins, is a single bronze card. To complete the collection you need just 1 card: an unsung iron hero card Dan Gladden.

The Unsung are in lots of collections and keep you from having to buy another diamond, so they have some value. I'm not sure which are part of good collections though.

There are a number of missions that require Unsung Hero Iron cards (require in the sense that you can buy an iron or you can spend a lot more to get a diamond). i counted about 25 Unsung Iron that could be used in collection missions

In addition my theory about World Series themed collections was proven correct with the Red Sox Curse breaking collection--and they require Unsung Iron.

There will be a similar Yankee WS and Cubs WS collection and they will require Unsung Heroes as well. I believe by the end of the cycle all of the Unsung Hero Iron cards will be used in collection missions.
