Could somebody let me know about who this pitcher is. There's a post saying that he's Jim McDonald, but I can't find him in Baseball Reference...could somebody clue me in??

That uniform style was worn from 71 to 75, and there are no players that wore that uniform during that time...so unless it's a throw back uniform or he just played in the minors only it'll be almost impossible to find out.

Yeah, I was aware of those things, and you're right, he probably just played in the minors or didn't make it through Spring Training. The listing for his number was Jim McDonald and I'm just trying to find out who he really is...that's all.

It's pitcher Jim MacDonnell, who was a non-roster invitee with the White Sox to their spring camp in 1972. The same photo was posted on either this thread or the minor league thread in December of 2015. I can't get back to it easily, because the URL's for OOTP have been re-set since that time.

P.S. Just took the time to browse through the OOTP December, 2015 postings, and found the previous display of the MacDonnell photo. Turns out that it was placed by the banned rico45. I still believe it was a valid identification. See the following webpage on the minor league thread.

One-game major leaguer Harley Hisler (Red Sox, 1951) has appeared on eBay as a release from kylesportscards.

Hisley started their September 30th game, worked six innings, gave up 3 runs, took the loss and was never heard from again. He pitched in the minors from 1947-53, all but one season in the Red Sox system.
