Trading up in the draft during draft day
I've noticed that it is way easy to trade up in the draft to get a lottery pick if the team that won the lottery had a higher original pick before the lottery.
Say I finish the season with Rangers and have the 8th pick and Buffalo finished with the 10th pick but gets a top 3-pick in the lottery I can basically send my 8th-pick for their pick without adding anything else. If I try to trade with the team that has the 4th pick however, they are unwilling to move a high draft pick that cheaply even if I include something else. Would be more realistic if you could change the trade value of the pick so it reflected the new value after the lottery has taken place. Another change I would like to see done is having the cap being adjusted with like 1-4 % some seasons, as in reality, and some seasons it could stay the same. Would make cap management more realistic and challenging. Thanks for all the good work! |

Sounds like the pick order isn't being updated properly for the AI after the lottery, we'll have a look at that.

Yes, this is currently an issue and a way to exploit the AI. Is there a likelihood of seeing one last patch to address a few things that were discovered as bugs or other issues following the last update ?
Somewhat related to this thread, I would also like to see a decrease in the value of stacking multiple 1.5* players in order to get a single better player or a draft pick in the 4th or 3rd round. There is almost an infinite amount of players at that rating available as free agents. |
