10/16/2082 - Division Series Preview
The Dodgers will be hosting the 93 win Conquistadors in the Division Series. The Dodgers allowed fewer runs this year than Mexico City, while Mexico City had a more potent offense while we split the season series.

10/17/2082 - Division Series Game 1
Gordon Baird missed the playoffs last year with an injury, but returned in a big way with 6 innings of 1 run ball, striking out 7 while walking 2 batters.
Our big inning at the plate came in the second when Andy Jordan and Tim Delaney hit back to back doubles, while Ron James, and Ray Harvey hit back to back singles to give the Dodgers a 3-0 lead. We'd hold on for the 4-2 win to jump out in front in the Division Series. |

10/18/2082 - Division Series Game 2
Antonio Sandoval has made 100 starts in his career during the regular season, with a 30-33 record and 4.89 ERA. That's probably a little unfair to look at his totals, since he turned 26 years old this year and was 14-7 with a 3.32 ERA, by far his best season. Today Sandoval pitched 8 shutout innings to pick up the win as the Dodgers take a two game lead in the NLCS.
Mike Williams doubled home a pair of runs and Andy Jordan hit an RBI single to account for our offense in our 3-0 win. |

10/20/2082 - Division Series Game 3
Sherman Miller was making the Game 3 start tonight for the Dodgers and would pitch seven strong innings, allowing 2 runs and striking out 6. He left with the game tied when Andy Jordan doubled home a pair of runs in the seventh.
Unfortunately our offense was only good for 2 runs on 4 hits today, and the game would go into extra innings, where the Conquistadors won the game in the bottom of the tenth when Bernardo Davis dropped the final out covering first base. That's right, we lost the game on a walk off error. |

10/21/2082 - Division Series Game 4
I'm not even sure how to recap this one, but the game went 10 innings, the teams combined to score 29 runs on 38 hits with 3 errors combined. The good part is the Dodgers pulled out a 15-14 victory.
Our pitching really couldn't do our job today with Chris Moss (3 IP, 6 R), Arthur Lewis (2 IP, 2 R), Juan Morales (1.2 IP, 1 R), Bernardo Davis (.2 IP, 3 R), and Pat Miller (2.1 IP, 2 R) all giving up runs. Only Eduardo Salgado and his scoreless 1/3 of an inning did his job today. None of that mattered too much because our offense was hot. Tim Delaney led the team with 4 hits while Ron James homered twice and drove in 6 runs. Darren Dooley and Mike Williams added homers and everyone but Carlos Vargas had a hit tonight. The Dodgers are now one win away from returning to the NLCS for the second straight year. |

10/22/2082 - Division Series Game 5
Gordon Baird was making the start for the Dodgers, and through five innings he didn't allow a run. Our offense made a brief appearance in the fifth when Mike Williams picked up a one out single and Tim Delaney was hit by a pitch. That was followed by a double by Ron James that gave the Dodgers a 2-0 lead.
Baird would continue to cruise until the bottom of the eighth when he allowed a leadoff double. A strikeout, error, and sacrifice fly allowed the Conquistadors to score their first run, and a single chased Baird from the game and we brought in Bernardo Davis who allowed the tieing single before getting out of the inning. Andy Jordan would answer with a solo homer in the ninth to give the Dodgers a one run lead, but Bernardo Davis would yield a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth and the game would go to extra innings. In the eleventh the Dodgers would take the lead on an RBI single by Tim Delaney, but Mexico City would battle back in the bottom of the eleventh off Eduardo Salgado to tie the game. In the bottom of the twelfth Salgado would allow the final run of the game, a walk-off single to Boyd Johnson as Mexico City won the game 5-4 and they now trail in the series 3 games to 2. |

10/24/2082 - Division Series Game 6
It's been exactly three weeks since Augusto Gonzales had a hit, but Gonzales played the hero today with four hits including a walk off solo home run that will send the Dodgers back to the NLCS to cap off our 6-5 win.
Darren Dooley and Mike Williams each added a pair of hits and closer Weldon Johnston picked up the win. |

10/26/2082 - NLCS Preview
The Cubs won three more games this year than the Dodgers, and outscored us this year. Our only advantage is pitching, but I expect that it will be a tough series with the Cubs beating us 4 of 6 games this year.

10/27/2082 - NLCS Game 1
In the preview I talked about having the pitching advantage, but that couldn't be further from the truth in Game 1. Gordon Baird made the start for the Dodgers and allowed 5 runs in 3 innings. Our offense managed just 5 hits, and we'd like a do-over of our 6-0 loss.

10/28/2082 - NLCS Game 2
Another poos start for the Dodgers with Sherman Miller allowing 6 runs in 2 innings as the Cubs went up 2 games to none with a 7-5 victory today.
Our offense did score 5 runs on 11 hits today though, with Tim Delaney leading the team with 3 hits. Darren Dooley hit our only home run today, but the Dodgers are looking forward to going home for Game 3. |

10/30/2082 - NLCS Game 3
The Dodgers needed a win today to get back into the series and Antonio Sandoval provided exactly the start we needed. 6 1/3 innings, 1 run, 9 strikeouts. The Dodgers would lead 3-1 heading into the ninth courtesy of an RBI single by Ron James in the second, an RBI double by Ray Harvey in the seventh, and a solo homer by Luke Clark in the 8th.
Weldon Johnston came into the game in the ninth to preserve the win. A walk, a double, a walk, a grand slam, and the Cubs were up 5-3 and were now one win away from heading to the World Series. What a turn of events for the Dodgers who truly need to win tomorrow. |

10/31/2082 - NLCS Game 4
The Dodgers needed a win and got a strong start from Chris Moss who delivered 7 1/3 shutout innings. The Dodgers took a 7-0 lead into the ninth inning, and Weldon Johnston picked up the save after yesterday's disaster with 1 2/3 shutout innings.
Darren Dooley, Tim Delaney, and Mike Williams each went each went deep in the win. We're still in a big hole, but we did end our 7 game losing streak in the NLCS at least. |
