Where's the outrage?

Raiders sign Richie Incognito a month after he threatened his 90 yr old grandmother and vandalizing her house. The Raiders explain away their signing by saying "they did their homework". Despite his history, he gets a fine of $569 and has to go to 10 anger management classes. And the NFL brings down the "hammer" w/a 2 game suspension.

Where is the outrage? We think this is fair punishment from the justice system? We are OK w/the Raiders signing this animal? In light of the NFL's other penalties handed for off field conduct, we think the NFL got this one right?

The NFL continues to time and time again be tone deaf when it comes to their players and domestic violence.

I guess they don't consider this domestic violence or it would have been 6 games.

There is quite the social life out this way, so it's only a matter of time before he beats someone up at a club or bar. I give it 3 weeks.

Not to somewhat change the subject, but how did/does Kobe Bryant get a complete pass and escape the "Me Too" wave, and instead get his "From the Mind of..." series on (some form of) ESPN? True, he was not convicted. But that's not the point when you look at what has happened to the careers of others.

I remember the Incognito bullying story from the Dolphins, and the NFL overall seemed to be more bothered about the whistleblower.

I remember it too. It turns out both parties were coo-coo for cocoa puffs. It was like Jeffery Dahmer, a white racist cannibal who thought he was the devil, was left alone in the same room w/a black bigot murderer who thought he was Jesus. Something bad was bound to happen.

If the NFL money train keeps rolling, nothing will change.

Soooo..........Incognito gets 2 games after being convicted of terrorizing his grandmother.

But Jarran Reed gets 6 games for DV when the police never charged or arrested him after a woman waited 2 weeks to report it happened.

And folks continue to push the NFL & the like to get into the justice business?

The NFLPA SUCKS.

Mike Florio made a really good point on the Reed ruling, noting that, like with Ezekiel Elliot, the accuser complied with the league and provided direct interviews to build the league's case against the player, whereas in cases like Tyreek Hill, there was no help from the other end. The fact that all of this information is gathered behind closed doors gives the impression that the league is throwing at a dartboard and suspending players however many games the dart hits.

More than anything this underscores two major points - the league completely bungled the Incognito ruling, and they desparately need to negotiate a better discipline process in the new CBA.
