Love to have a tournament of Perfect teams without a Perfect championship.

Looking forward to trying out some tournaments, been away from PT for a little while now

(during which time my teams chose to win playoff series, rather than when I was paying attention and hanging on every result )

Options for doing so now are pretty limited without resorting to tanking or severely handicapping a competitive team at higher ranks.

yeah, can be a challenge to try and train iron/bronze cards at positions when you're at higher levels.... perhaps rather than have them play games at entry/iron level, just have 9 position slots for the reserve roster, where you could plug in one player at each and every sim they would gain some experience at that position (as if they were playing spring training games against other reserves).

you know... to add onto that... maybe a bronze only league with no PP gain? runs like the Entry leagues, 24/7 but you get no PP

Or keep tournament position training separate from regular position training.

As-is I'm now more excited to get a card off the auction house that's been heavily used before. The Andrelton Simmons I bought for the Angels collection is maxed out at all infield positions and will be perfect for a silver or even gold tournament.

Here are the time until the first sim plus the regular simulation intervals, which depend on tournament size:
8 teams / 10 min to 1st sim / 10 min sim interval
16 - 15 - 10
32 - 15 - 15
64 - 30 - 30
128 - 60 - 30

There is a wheelbarrow full of cards I wish I had not sold now... Next year! Next year for sure I won't let the OCD rule my rosters...

How about a Monday Morning Tournament of Champions?

A 32-team tournament open to the Perfect Leagues champions from Sunday only. Best-of-3 each round or something.

For those who feel they have something extra to prove.

Restricting tournaments based on championships is not supported at the moment. Any Open tournament would fit the bill too

I'm not positive but I would guess that it is based on each player's overall so a 95 rated player counts for 95 points against the cap.

Right, and the baseline for a player (or empty slot) is 40 points. So you can then work it out that the 95-rated player is adding 55 points above the minimum, or a 60-rated player will add 20 over the minimum, etc etc.

Don't be. I dunno if it's a bug or not, but training you've done on your weekly league players does NOT carry over to tournament rosters. Examples : my Toby Harrah is not maxed at 2B (he is otherwise), my Michael Young only knows SS (he has all four infield positions otherwise), my Bobby Bonds doesn't know LF (he does otherwise), ect.

However, that being said, it seems they learn positions at a faster rate? My Acuna, Jr. is already up to 60 at CF after just 6 games. I think it took longer for him to go that high previously.

You can't. They are created automatically, server-side.

Seems the daily cap 1500/1750 best of 3 128-team formats aren't filling up.
Got pushed back and still at less than 20 out of 128.

I have a cool idea for a tournament - all players on your roster must be from the same team. Maybe even limit it to historical cards. I'm sure teams that go back to 1901 have a bit of an advantage in that situation but still a cool idea I think.
