Boston Clippers - BOS

World Series: None
Playoffs: 1900-1902, 1904

Making the playoffs every year except the 1903 seasons, the Boston Clippers are quite simply one of the best teams in baseball. With the AL pitcher of the year and the best shortstop in baseball, there is a lot for a fan to love, except that they never won a world series.

Prospects: Good.

Brooklyn loons

World Series: None
Playoffs: 1900-1905

Never missing the playoffs, the Loons are a well regarded team, with good batters, but with perhaps suspect pitching they are able to make the playoffs, then take a inglorious first round exit as a pitcher dominates the short series and the Loons go home.

Some worry that they are unable to get over the hump while lacking in top prospects means that the Loons will continue to be the team that is in no way bad, but cannot rise to win a world series.

Buffalo Bears

World Series: 1904
Playoffs: 1900-1904

The Bears, lead by 1b Danny Ray are simply right now the best team in baseball, and some would argue they have been the best team for a while. Some worry that the recent retirement of the GM will result in the Bears making a stumble but whoever takes over this team has a lot to work with.

Charlotte Copperheads

World Series: None
Playoffs: None

Charlotte in the opening of the NBL has been a total and complete mess. After the first season, they never even been 500 as it was bad baseball in the queen city. However not all hope is lost. While changing general managers like Taylor Swift changes boyfriends has left the team with a huge young talent pool, with star (and perhaps future hall of famer) pitcher David Robinson throwing his not-quite controlled fastballs and the #1, #2, and #5 prospects. If this works out the years 1905-1910 might be a very good year for the long suffering Copperhead fans.

Dallas Bluebirds

World Series: 1903
Playoffs: 1900-1904

The Dallas Bluebirds, Lead by Rich Gonzalez and Cody Case have consistently been the best team in the AL West. A strong franchise with a young pitcher coming to hammer down the pitching staff and all key players under 30 it is expected that Dallas will continue to win for some time.

Detroit Acorns

World Series: None
Playoffs: 1903

A big market team that never has done much, it is still loved by the people of Detroit. The fans are very exited about their new young Shortstop that expected to be a huge star for the team.

LA Federals

Expansion Team

In 1905 the AL is expanding by two teams, the LA Federals is going after the hot southern California Market.

The team is bad, Hopefully free agency and drafts will improve the team.

Milwaukee Hops

World Series: 1901
Playoffs: 1900-1904

The Hops, powered both by the namesake beer of Milwaukee and the hitting power of the team is a consistently good team in the NBL, with young talent include the potentially great 3B Rosenbluth. Barring a team breakup this team is expected to continue to be a strong contender at the end of the year.

NY Titans

World Series: None
Playoffs: 1900-1901

No one is quite sure why the NY Titans, playing in the big city with good solid players consistently is bad. Though poor pitching may very well be the core issue of this team, while other blame bad management. Never the less the Titans haven't been good in a a few years, and nothing indicates that they are getting better.

Next time I might keep this shorter, I want to play ball, or at least generate games. but it good for everyone to see logos and so on.

World Series: None
Playoffs: 1900, 1902-1904

Philadelphia Biscuits

Or the Hardtacks since I cannot spell Philadelphia or Biscuits without spellcheck, are currently facing the moment of truth, They have a strong team, but it is inching towards getting old and then the window will close on this team.

Pittsburgh Water Rats

World Series: None
Playoffs: 1904

Pittsburgh rode into the playoffs with their excellent pitching staff, perhaps best in the NBL. The Fans love this team and the city of three rivers for once loves the rats.

Almost finished

Salt Lake City Saints

World Series: None
Playoffs: None

Every league needs a bad team. The Saints are a bad team, however it is the only game in town in 1905 Salt Lake City, and the owner is raking in the cash. Some compare this as the Copperheads of the West, except that the Copperheads have more talent coming up though the minors.

San Antonio Flying Monkeys
Expansion team

Named after some of the odder characters of the popular Wizard of Oz books (checked, published in 1900 so not completely odd). As per all expansion teams, this team is bad at the moment, even if they have the best RP in baseball, not that he will be able to earn saves with this bunch of hitters.

San Francisco Gold (Sox)

World Series: 1902
Playoffs: 1902-1904

San Fran is the team of the huge payroll, Vets earning good money in the bay to win ballgames, and since 1902, they have been doing that. Of course, the real issue comes if the players get old, or if the money runs out...

St. Louis Blues
World Series: None
Playoffs: None

The blues are a struggling team, both in performance (the pitching has not been good and the bats cannot make up for it.) and in the seats. While never a horrible team, they have not made the playoffs and the league is always worried this might be a team that moves in the future.

A bad team north of the border. They have some good bats but it has not resulted in playoffs.

And that the teams. Time to play ball.
