Post Historical League Question

I was running my league, and during the offseason I dumped the rookies into a draft, deleted some rookies, and then manually placed them on their respective teams, leaving the amateur draft pool now empty. But the game insists on me running an amateur draft and when I hit auto run draft- the game crashes

I believe there are 2 ways around this.

1- If you backed up your league file prior to clicking proceed to next season button simply reinstall your backed up file and click on proceed to next season. When prompted select assign rookies to their original teams rather than have a draft. You can then delete the unwanted rookies from each team.

2- If you did not back up your file you need to create fictional rookies to fill the draft pool. The game will not proceed until there is a draft pool. Rename thefictional players all to something you will remember so that after the draft you can release and delete them all. If you play with finances on I would reccomend turning them off before releasing the players.

Try creating a few temporary fake players and then run the draft. If that still does not work, check to see if all team are on auto - if they are, change 1 to manual and use that team to manually draft 1 of the temp fake players, THEN run auto-draft. Good luck.

Edit - You can just drop and delete these temp players later, maybe give them a name like "Temp player1" etc....
