Post Problem creating challenge league

I asked this question a week ago - but then my @home when down, and now there's a new board, so...

I made a new create folder so I could get real player names into the game. However, now when I create a challenge league, all teams are human controlled and there's nothing I can do about it. I can even select a team to control at the start but it doesn't matter...it makes every team human controlled.

I did receive one response last time that suggested my default league was set up this way. Well, that's not it because I've never set up a league that way. I only have one other league created and it's not a challenge league and only one team is human controlled.

Thanks for any help!

I guess you must not have checked I mentioned to you that what you need to do is to edit the default league. Evidently the "league" you have chosen to use was created w/ all human ownership. Have you tried using Pierre's editor?

Sorry, I still don't get how this is done. I downloaded the editor but can't see how to change each team to computer owner.

Can you at least point me to somewhere where this is explained?

Thanks!

Open the league then select the team in the editor, there is a box that says "human team" it is probably selected, uncheck that.

I guess I don't have the latest version of the editor - because there's no way to edit the teams, just players. I've searched for awhile now and can't find a more updated version. Where exactly is it?

All I did was download a roster set with real names - I can't understand why when I created the league it made them all human controlled. Can I download a roster set that lets me crate a challenge league the way I want to?

Plus, if I create a challenge league, what's the point if I can just go in and edit it with this editor? Isn't that defeating the purpose of creating a challenge league?

I'm sure there is a roster set that you can do this with, but I really can only say take a look at some of them. I don't play the challenge mode so I can't give you alot of help with it. I don't know if this editor will change anything with a challenge league, all I know is that with a normal league you can edit things like that.

Here's a work around... use one of your downloaded leagues and create a NON-challenge mode league. Set the league so that all teams are computer controlled... save and exit. Take this league file move it to the create folder (make sure to back it up) then create your new challenge mode league and it should work...

I think... (I haven't tested this)
