Sorry double post.

So I'll just use this space to say the 89 Eckersley (which I'm retiring for some reason) may be the best card in the game sub 10k. 8 years in perfect 3.22 ERA 1.09 WHIP 283 saves. During those 8 seasons he's gotten me 4625PP.

I've had both cards, the 96 Brett & the 89 Eck...

Bretts' gonna be nice, even if it's not the best card in the game of him. I haven't had such greatness as 6-for-6 out of him but he was my best hitter the first few seasons (most consistent anyway), and is still sometimes against certain right-handers, preferable to the Legend Mike Schmidt at 3rd.

I got the 89 Eck...in a pack He was incredible my last season in diamond but I cut him rather quickly ...I gave him a chance...but he wasn't dominant in Perfect for me at least & I've always got that Kirk Gibson WS HR on my mind. I don't know why.

Hold on to your pants

Gold achievements don't come along very often but I received one today.
I read that on this day in history, Lou Brock stole 4 bases for the St. Louis Cardinals. So on this day in history, Rickey Henderson stole 5 bases for the New York Flyers!

Rickey steals and steals and steals and steals and steals.

I just noticed the SE Peak Vida Blue on the team called "toyosu haruki" in P427 this season just led the league in saves with 53. What makes this impressive is that they had the same amount of blown saves as they did earned runs - one. This led to an ERA of 0.13 and an ERA+ of a measly 3256.

And while they won reliever of the year, this performance wasn't even good enough to get a single vote for the Cy Young

Now that's a closer. I'm sometimes not against--but not all for, the whole concept of a reliever for inning 9. Can't argue with those results, though.

We lost the game 7-0 but we turned a triple play and earned 2,000 PP so who is the real winner here?

The triple play happened when Jeff McNeil lined into an 8-4-3 triple play. The exit velocity was 91.3 MPH.

Edgar Martinez had himself a day for the Froggies on May 27. Four achievements by himself:

4-for-4 (Hit Machine)
2 HR (Double Dinger)
6 RBI (Knock Them In)
5 Runs (Score at Will - Silver)

That's why he's the HOFer!

So, a few weeks ago I had my first perfect game in OOTP while playing PT (Verlander), and earlier this week, Cole joined him.

Gotta be my single biggest game output.

Just added it up, and 21,510 PP were awarded for that game.

The starters went deep, not sure what the ai was doing keeping a reliever in that allowed a hit and 2 walks before the walk off hit

I've seen that before. You know, it's probably that the AI doesn't feel the pressures of a real manager... just as well this guy continues to pitch... although it does seem like you can predict another hit or walk or whatever. Maybe it's all part of the script, meant to be, if not meant to be...just how the game, (*simulated game*) went...Rivera for me...a game where the starter was absolutely dominant he came in to close and gave up 6 baserunners en route to blowing a 4-run lead.

Doesn't happen often that way. Not too often.

Grayson Rodriguez pitched the first no-hitter in franchise history for my Baltimore Orioles/St. Louis Browns/minor league Baltimore Orioles theme team.

Just to be clear...that was Grayson Rodriguez who pitched the first no hitter for that franchise, now in its 18th season. Not Jim Palmer, or Mike Cuellar, or Mike Mussina, or Mike Flanagan, or even Babe freakin' Ruth. Grayson Rodriguez.

Grayson effin' Rodriguez.

BRAVO! to Big Red for his first managed no-NO! Even if it's a guy who...hasn't thrown a pitch in the big leagues yet?

I had some borderline shares the last two days...combination of laziness & them not being the once a every couple weeks or seasons type of no-brainer shares. achievements.

Good Luck in PT, with the ladies, & this & that other thing.

Ha...Wow...

Did you do this against all pitchers, or were they forced to bring position players in in the 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th inning? So far I've seen 35+ runs only in games where position players pitched, although in one case there were more runs scored off of the real pitchers.

They used position players in the 23-run third inning. They were using a tired starter by the end.

In completely unrelated news, I've just listed Dominic Leone with a 22,810 BIN.

C'mon Orcin, he's a Cardinal, you know you want to buy him...

I was thinking about how to spend that windfall. Remarkably, Leone never crossed my mind.
