nhl wha merger
I am planning on doing is setting up a merger between the two league after the 1976-1977 season no teams move or fold . It would be like the Afl-nfl merger where each of the league would become conferences in the new league . my question is what 3 Nhl teams do think switch to the World conference

I don't think you can move teams to another league but it's something I hope is possible in the future.

You could do a modern fictional NHL and WHA merger and change all the players names to the players from 1976-77 but that might take awhile. |

NY Islanders (have a New York market in each, but don't seperate teh original 6) Pittsburgh and Minnesota (DUmp problem teams in the new conference)
or NY Rangers, Detroit and Toronto. Put weak NHL teams into the "inferior" WHA to pad their stats and make they look better than they are. |

I assume you meant making a fictional league set in 1976-77 with each league as separate conferences. You won't be able to use the real players from that era, but sounds like a cool idea. The above statement seems logical, putting some of the weaker teams of the era with the World teams. Which likely would be some of the expansion teams who joined during the 70s.
