When does a player lose the "Prospect" status?
Is there a minimum numbers of At Bats under the 25/40 man roster? In other words, during September Call-ups how can I avoid giving a prospect a rookie status?

Not in front of the game at the moment, but I believe there is a definition at the top of (or somewhere on) the Player Development page?
It's something like 45-days of ML service time (just a guess)... |

A player also ceases to be a prospect in OOTP when he turns 26.

IRL, it's 130 ABs for a position player, no matter the service time.
He loses rookie status after said player as accured 130 ABs or 45 ML service days (in which, that season would be declared his "rookie" season) |

One more thing to clarify... At the risk of screwing up prospects by giving them Major league contracts....
During September call ups, are the expanded rosters the same thing as the secondary 40 man roster? And if I place my prospects there, even if just for September, do they automatically sign a ML contract? |

They are not automatically called up in September, they are not given a ML contract unless you manually call them up. Then they get ML money for the rest of the season. I do not think it has changed so if you demote then they are still payed ML money, for a month.

If they are onlt up in September it shoudl not effect their arbitration much. If you are really managing their service time you can just bring them up a little later in their first year to avoid Super 2 status.

Thanks, that's a good tip. I need to manage my demotions/promotions more carefully.
