Me, started with 6.5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14

Except there have been numerous versions of OOTP Forums over the years too.

OOTP v3, v4, v5, v6, v6.5, 2006, 2007, 2008, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and now 14. And I have no doubts that I'll be purchasing 15, once announced.

First one purchased was ootp3 but I've played since ootp1 off a friends computer. We used to play the statis pro baseball board game and I told him ootp was going to put them out of business. Thanks mr h for the most amazing game EVER!

My wife says the same thing. I tell her in reply....

"I love you sweetie, now go back to that level on Candy Crush you can't beat."

I think she beat it last night after 2 1/2 weeks (level 30 by the way)

"Go back to those bubbles and ship building you do." (reference to her addiction to Battle Pirates)

Same here. I actually came across it recently. The only "version" I didn't buy was 6.5.

Started with OOTP 4 in 2002, when I was a first-year law student. Bought every version since, and I'm now a sixth-year law professor.

I started with V.4 in '02. Skipped 5 for some reason, played 6 to death, skipped 6.5 (I've regretted it ever since), bought 8-11, skipped 12, and have purchased the last two versions.

I'm pretty sure I started with OOTP 4, discovered and purchased late so won't hit ten-year mark until end of this year, first of next.

Played the game a few years prior, off and on.

Renewed baseball fandom, however, has compelled me to make a purchase for this season.

So technically, I'm a rookie.

It all started with a dud. I found Baseball Mogul in Best Buy in early 2008, and in my first game I threw a no hitter(Ray Culp 64' Phils), this was a blessing in disguise, because it #1 soured me on Mogul and #2 led my to OOTP 8, I haven't looked back since.

for me this is like fondly recounting former loves:

1980-1984 - Statis Pro Basbeball (board game)
1984-1987 - MicroLeague Baseball
1987-2000 - Diamond Mind Baseball
2000-2002 - Baseball Mogul
2002-present - Out of the Park Baseball

I think I have been playing since either version 8 or 9, I think I was still living in Japan at the time.
