Seawolves checking in.
Season just started and the league thread is already 3 pages long. Zorro must be online?

Hey Wilmington, this has GOT to be some kind of record. THIRTY TWO left on base?!
I have no idea how to view this. Did my pitchers do GREAT, or do AWFUL?? I'm so confused!! 17 hits, 4 runs. |

Old me: lose 5 in a row, change the lineup and roster and my underwear...
New me: lose 5 in a row, do nothing, win 5 in a row. |

Another one that I need to watch in order to fully understand.
3 Blown saves on my side and none for Virgina Beach. |

What has happened to the Pirates? They are going to make someone pay for this stretch later.

I think the next few days will be the turnaround days for Magpies and Wilmington. They are too good on paper to not make the playoffs.
As for the Silvers. I take full blame. They were an extreme lefty team with matching park and the plan to move away from that totally failed. This looks like a relegation year unless we can turn things around. Sadly, there just are not any silver options out there to make that happen. 3-24 must be the all time record for worst first day.

Outsider here. The diamond league thread has always been less active than the perfect threads and recently even more so. Because of this, I was a bit bored and so I came here to see what was going on and found it quite entertaining here. So I guess I need to get to the championship this season so I can join you guys. Of course, my stay here probably wouldn't last long. We might even get relegated before the season ends.

I hadn't really thought about it before, but you're right. There are not a lot of PL-competent silver RH hitters. George Kell is about the only option that I can think of not already on your team.

Will I ever catch a break in this league? The Breakers are 20-7 so even though I am playing pretty good ball (Over .600 winning pct) I am three games back already. Two seasons ago I had to come from 14 and a half games back to win the Division by 1 game and last season I was over taken by a great Wilmington team to lose the Division by 1 game. What happen to the days when I could cruise a little and try out other formats and stuff? Now it is kind of a drag fighting it out every series and trying to find the tiniest edge just to pull out a win or two. I am so tired of filling out the seven day lineup trying to figure out what hitter hits that certain pitcher the best and how to implement him in that days lineup. It is hard enough with the randomness of the players year to year but it is extra tough in this league where one damn mistake can cost you a Division and let’s face it winning the Division is so important because who wants to have to play a one game crapshoot Wild card Game that also messes up your Rotation for the next series. Not to mention home field. Ok, Sorry, I guess I have ranted enough but this league is starting to drive me crazy. Thank God 20 will be coming out in three weeks and we can go back to auto cruise a little and work on other things then just trying to win. This league is very tough for me. 😱

I am starting to think Tuesdays aren't good for me. All three teams off to a rough go today. Goals... for Blue turn it around and try to fight for the division. For Gold, after a great late-season charge last year I was hoping to build on that and be competitive to the end this week. They haven't really been. For Red... avoid relegation! I knew they'd have a rough go on the mound this year with the bump to PL.
