I see some familiar faces in D369, so that's nice. I also see that the teams this season look better than the ones in the league I was in last season. If this is a trend and not a fluke, then we might not be improving in diamond for quite some time. It will be interesting to see how things go. I have only 1 diamond and 10 golds on my roster, and even if OVR isn't that important, it does reveal the lack of upgrades on my part compared to most other teams in this league.

Offense is starting out slow in my first 5 games
Ichiro - .150 Keith Hernandez - .211 Brooks Robinson - .105 Jose Oquendo - .211 Molina - 143 Luckily I have good pitching and defense and these guys Albert Belle - .353 Kevin McRyenolds .524 Harrison Bader - .375 Luis Aparicio - .353 So it has been feat or famine for my offensive players so far EDIT: Off to a 6-1 start and three of those six wins have been complete game shutouts. Why can you not talk about your league now? All the same opportunities are there. Take the initiative and try to build new relationships and rivalries. Then when you are in a league with old friends/rivals there will be much to sit around the dugout and reminisce about. Your friends surprisingly, or not, may grow.

I'm in Gold 333 this season. 1 of the teams in my division looks to be someone I did battle with for a few seasons when I was in silver.
Couple changes to the roster this season. Added Kevin McReynolds at CF to replace Kenny Lofton. Quick sold Machado (I could've got more for him at auction but the marketplace seemed glutted with Machado's at the time, and I wanted to set my roster up before the season began) and replaced him with Andrelton Simmons, who will be a much better utility. Considered having Simmons as my regular SS and training Aparicio as utility but Simmons can play the outfield too. Also moved Doolittle from setup/stopper role to middle relief/lefty specialist. Joakim Soria and Will Harris will be my setup guys, supporting Osuna at closer. Off to a 7-1 start. After spending most of last season near the bottom of the pack in terms of hitting homers, it's surprising to see we currently lead our conference in that stat. And would you believe it, Yogi Berra's started off the season hot, slashing .318/.400/.591, with 2 dingers, through 6 games. Of course, that's likely to change, seeing as his OPS+ the last 3 seasons has been 86, 100, 81, but here's hoping he'll stay hot for a while.

Barely two weeks in, and the Raccoons already have a 6-game winning streak in Diamond League. We also have four batters absolutely on fire, and the rest in the 50-60 OPS+ range. My man Cespedes really isn't made for Diamond League.
Also, I propose just attaching this picture whenever someone complains about the whales:

The Toms River Little League Champs are rebounding nicely after their loss in the DS last year. Full seasons from late additions Sad Sam Jones and Dennis Martinez, as well as new offseason pick up Garry Maddox should hopefully mean another crack at the playoffs this year.

I'm also making my debut this year in P411 coming off my first World Series win. I'm not sure what expectations to have, so hopefully can at least avoid relegation. So far so good with an 8-4 start.
Looks like I'm in the same league as the Apple Dumplin' Gang, and the perfect Babe Ruth. Unfortunately, my time will be limited until Friday, but looking forward to a fun week. |

I got swept in my first series. But then I swept my second series! But then I got swept in my third series. But then I swept my fourth series!
So, basically, my team is determined to give me a heart attack. |

Trenton on the heals of two 5 game losing streak. Demoted 4 relief pitchers.

Diamond 385 league here with my pre-ww2 team....
while I'm expecting them to be thoroughly shellacked this season (they finished 81-81 last season in Gold league); they are off to a good start (10-3 and in first place in the NC Central)... so I'll take the short term success |

Glad to see you made it. Good luck! It is hard, but it is fun competing against the best.
