What kind of stupid s*** is this in a playoff game? I wish there were a "Don't be a complete dumbass" checkbox for manager strategies. I don't have a slow hook set either.

Yeah, the AI seems to make plays that go completely counter to the strategy you have setup frequently. This is PT biggest's flaw IMO.

Another 100+ win team bounced early in the playoffs. Clayton Kershaw gets least valuable player award, going 0-2 with an ERA over 11.
Gotta commend this game for it's realism! |

As per my usual. My "Cardinals" team bowed out of the playoffs in the first round. I have made a roster change and am ready for my move to gold although I don't think my pitching will hold up.
Here is my lineup 1 S Ozzie Smith SS 2 L Stan Musial CF - The Gold version without the power stat. 3 R Albert Pujols 3B - Rookie 3B version 4 L Johnny Mize 1B 5 R Matt Holliday DH 6 L Enos Slaughter LF 7 R Joe Medwick RF 8 S Tom Herr 2B 9 R Yadier Molina C Here are the starters R Chris Carpenter L Ernie White R Miles Mikolas R Adam Wainwright R Carlos Martinez And My Relievers Middle Relief R John Brebbia Middle Relief R Luke Gregerson Middle Relief R Dominic Leone Middle Relief R Michael Wacha Setup R Bruce Sutter Setup R Jim Palmer Closer R Lee Smith I need to upgrade my pitchers, especially my relievers but decent ones are really hard to come by on the market. For Cardinal Pitchers this is what I see on the market Dizzy Dean (2 versions) - Too Expensive currently Bob Gibson (1969 All Star) - Too Expensive currently Mark Littell - Scary low movement and control for a gold pitcher closer. He scares me Rick Ankiel - Scary low movement and control. He scares me Jack Flaherty - Future Legend - Average. Not better than what I have but I do need to transition away from Jim Palmer in the Bullpen since he is my last non Cardinal. Not sure Flaherty is the one to do that The rest are all 2018 versions of the Cardinals relievers and they are all commons. So, not a lot of choices right now to build a better pitching staff. Price around 7-8K PP. Hard decision I have Pedro Martinez (96), Perry (89), Cliff Lee (91), Nola (92) and Gibson (88)...but i'm not sure if Nola is better of Gibson. He gave me a good season at 14-10 3,90 but i find he give a lttle too much BB with 68 in 191 innings. Last edited by Morug; 12-30-2018 at 03:13 PM. |

Smothered. Bopped out of the division series in four. After winning the opener against Calgary 7-0, the Raccoons lost a battle of Zack Wheelers, 9-1, then had Blake Treinen walk three and concede them all in the bottom 9th to blow a 3-1 lead in Game 3, and finally lost Game 4 in 11 innings, 7-6, when they finally ran out of clue.
Smothered. Baseball is cruel.

Damn, I lost game 6 of the World Series by giving up a 2 run HR in the bottom of the 9th to lose by a run with 2 outs. I watched the game on replay too so it hurt more.

I got another 1,100 PP for Mike Trout winning more or less all the awards (for the regular season), and a couple hundo more for selling a few silver cards. Once the game goes live after the promotion cycle I will go out of my way to buy a gold catcher. I had NO production from behind the dish for the last two gold seasons, and I can't imagine it will get better in the next level up.
I must say, that Buster Posey boy looks yummy …!
