Starting a Ficitional Sim with Retired Players
Is it possible to start a new fictional sim and have a bunch of retired players (without going through and manually retiring a bunch of them)? I like turning retired players into coaches (their numbers end up better than the coaches available) and it'd be nice to start with a great minor league staff.

Well, there’s no super easy way. When I do a new fictional sim I usually sim a few years to generate some history before taking over a team. Doing this also would generate a bunch of retired players. You may need to manually turn them into coaches if that’s what you want.
Just an idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Great idea. I never thought of just letting a decade (or whatever) of history happen before I ever get involved.

Yeah, actually I simulated 10 years. Then I looked through the retired players and found one that was interesting to me. Then I made a back story for him, turned him into a coach, and took over as him managing a rookie ball team!
Doesn’t work perfectly, because my human manager identity isn’t actually linked to the player, but I gave him the same name and birth date, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
