In the sense that unoriginal names still beat stupid names, agreed. I'd still rather see some decent original names, but apparently that's too much to ask anymore (see Silver Hawks, South Bend...)

I think the fact that they're going to be the Buies Creek Astros means they WON'T be the Fayetteville Astros, otherwise they'd just go with that from the beginning.

In other words, prepare for another stupid name in 2019...

That's it, I'm moving the Binghamton Mets in my save game. They don't deserve to have an effing team with that crap.

Not sure if these have been covered:

The Kansas City Royals unveiled a new home alternate, with gold accents.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs unveiled reflective twill uniforms and cap for their 10th anniversary. It will serve as their home uniform in 2017.

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are a new team in the Northwoods League.

Finally! We finally have a decent team nickname and logo. Too bad it's a team in a start up (doomed to fail if it ever starts) Indy league. The Southwest League is announcing the Waco Bluecats will join fir the 2018 season:
