...For updating the historical database (master.csv file) this year with initials to distinguish players with the same name (e.g. Michael A Taylor and Michael Taylor) or players who have changed their names because they wanted to (Mike Stanton to Giancarlo Stanton). Guys like Juan Carlos Oviedo (formerly known illegally as Leo Nunez), or Roberto Hernandez (formerly illegally known as Fausto Carmona) still haven't been updated, but this year's version represents such a major step forward in this area that I'm willing to let that slide.
I guess that just goes to show what OOTP is going to be able to do with more programmers now and in the future. Thanks also to lukasberger and haveband, who I used to drive nuts by posting all these changes in the "Please Post Issues In The Real Roster Sets Here" Thread in previous versions.
For those fictional gamers wondering what the hell this historical game playing nitwit is going on about, imagine every time you went to check on Mike Stanton's (Giancarlo IRL) card and instead of seeing Giancarlo's FaceGen, you saw the FaceGen of the ageless LH Braves/Yankees/Red Sox/Mets/Nationals/Giants/Rangers/Reds reliever looking back at you. Sort of throws you off a bit. Thanks to all who contributed in this painstaking endeavour. You've now been recognized. Take a bow. I'll keep up on this in OOTP 17, 18, 19 etc and as long as you keep fixing it, I'll keep pointing it out. (Which of course means I'll keep buying
)
