StLee's Uniforms Thread

I have used a lot of logos, uniforms, and caps from this forum, but I have been slowly but surely working on a few of my own. I was looking at a few that I made with earlier templates, but I have been liking my results a lot better since Gern44 posted his Version8 template (latest one, right?) for jerseys and caps.

I modified a couple of things on the template, so the shout outs to all the previous jersey makers is not on there.

Before I post anything, then, I want to give a big THANK YOU to all the people who helped to create jerseys, caps, logos, and templates for our ootp world to grow much bigger!!!

So, to Gern44, TXRanger, Silvam44, NoPepper, Deft, Batboy, js1519, and all the others who have contributed, thank you!!!

Now for my contributions. I am definitely an amateur at Photoshop, though I have figured out a lot of things to make my uniform-making experience a little better. Right now, I am not taking requests, but I may in the future once I have completed all of my fictional teams.

For quite a few of the logos, I have modified them or straight out stole them from a few of the great threads here. All jerseys and caps, though, are ones I made using the above-mentioned templates.

--

I tried to post a few more uniforms I've made lately. I am about to start a dynasty, so I want to get that started and then post some more before anyone beats me to my own dynasty . So please give this thread time to build!!!

They look really good, only suggestion is regarding the home jersey, best to have the buttons in front of the logo/script on the jersey, or have the buttons removed (I think gern's template has the split buttons in it that doesn't cover the logo/script).

Looking forward to seeing what you do with other caps and jerseys.

Yeah, the part I don't feel comfortable with so far is the buttons. I have tried putting buttons over the logo and never quite like it, and the split buttons seem too far apart for some of the script sizes I want to use (like the next example I'm about to post).

I'll see about tweaking the buttons, though, on the Pelicans jersey. I may just use red or white buttons for that jersey. I actually made about 10 Pelicans jerseys before deciding on these two as "good enough for now."

Thanks for the response!

Very nice work.

Buttons are very tricky. I often play around with the layer style of the Text over the buttons to see if I can get a look I like. I sometimes put the text under the buttons as well.

You can try duplicating the buttons layer, then hiding the orginal layer... then deleting any buttons that intefere with your text.

And of course, you can move the buttons around to get a better look. Again, they are tricky.

I'm jealous, these look better than anything I've made, and I've been at it for about a month or so now.

I suck with layers, which is why I prefer to stick to 70's and 80's pullover jerseys. Find a good template, bucket fill the collar and sleeve stripes the right colors, slap a workmark on there (one you found on the internet if you're lucky, one you had to make yourself if you're not), add a texture layer, roll wit' it. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am.

These modern jerseys are too hard to make, with their buttons and their side stripes and their fancy graphics and their 472 different layers and their hula hoops and...hey, get off'n my lawn, ya dadburn whippersnappers!

Redfish

I tinkered with buttons on this one, but they seem to blend so I don't know if this one matters. Still, I put two jerseys.

Love the colors and uniform for the redfish. Nice work overall, keep it up! Lol also idk if I deserve any credit here, I'm still learning the ropes and I haven't contributed close to what some of the justafans, gerns, silvams, cephasjames(es? Lol), and txrangers of the world have done just to name a few..

Pelicans 2

I changed the buttons on the original jersey. I'll post some alternative jerseys, too, after I get around to changing button alignment. I didn't save my original template, so I have to redo all of the variations of the jersey I made.

Here's the team name behind the buttons:
