I don't use the layer templates from Deft, no pepper or abermonk for the jerseys. I found some default jerseys in a download of padresfan that you would use in the customization screen in the game(see att.). As with the shading and some other features I use, I did get those off the layer templates and saved them individually so I can can import them into my work. The shading consists of three different layers put together from layer template v.2 and v.3. I use paint.net free program and excel to make custom script names.
paintnetsdplugin [frankblumenberg.de] This link will help with layering in paint.net. I learned a bunch from this topic her, too. New Uniform Designs (inspired by Silvam) - OOTP Developments Forums I don't know if that makes any sense, but basically I mixed and matched until I found something that I like. Oh, and a lot of time too. |

I like the work I currently do with default templates, but noticed yuor collar shading much bette rhtan what I have, so want to add it to my library! I do graphics as a sideline (pays for the kids hockey all winter) I have Fireworks, PSP and Photoshop, so I know what you mean by mixing and matching, I often for one graphic use 2 programs to utilize certain features of another! |

New ideas-Jersey Logos
While I was working on the oopt name jerseys, I had an idea. I have been making a bunch of custom jerseys, but not everyone will like the color schemes of the uni's. While I am still making jerseys, I will make the script and logo's that I use into jersey logo's so you can use the customization in the games to change jerseys and colors to your choosing. I am tweaking these bit by bit as I see fit. Let me know how these work so I can alter them how they need to be.

anther idea for you, make the jerseys into jersey templates (like the ones you used to start you off) that way they can be loaded into OOTP and when selected will adopt the colours the user is using for the team. like this one, just more customized using your designs. They can include the logo you use and probably easier than redoing logos into jersey logos.

The fictional link should be fixed now.
Great idea muted79, I will try that. If I put the logo in the blue and green colors will they change when a person changed the team colors? |

I just did a quick one, to try it out, and yes, the logo does change, here's the example:
this produced: I think the jersdey ios transparent because I used shadows and textures in black. I think changing them to another colour would be ok, or leaving them off templates all together, but yes, the logo does change colour The logo here is in red, which is the third colour in the colour codes for jerseys, but can also be in the blue. the only restriction I can see to doing it this way is you are limited in using graphic logos that do not contain black in them, unless you can change the colours. But in this case where it looks like you are using text logos only, that shouldn't be an issue.

oh and the naming requirements for defualt jerseys are default_jersey_#_name # being a number for the order on the list of defulats for people to select from and name being whatever you wanna call it. FOr instance I named the example above defulat_jersey_5_scorprions I numbered it 5 to go after the default jerseys already in game.

My Negro League has come into a modern era, so I am updating some of the uni's. It is hard to beat the classics. Here they are. 1st batch.

Here is a twist on the old negro league jerseys. I am given them a modern feel. Also, there is a Washington Black Senators on the bottom right from the previous batch. Hope you guys like it.

Just a note... For anyone interested in historical uniforms, make some noise at this suggestion: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ates-year.html
I'd love to see it because when the community creates all these great uniforms, it tends to be a pain as the user to update the uniform templates year-by-year, if you happen to have 20 different Dodgers uniforms throughout the ages. |
