"Rare" plays far too common in OOTP19

I am trying to play the Cubs 2018 season but the statistical simulation is so far off that it is not enjoyable--there is little realism.

1) 1.27 HBP per game by Cubs pitchers--0.41 in 2017.

2) 0.73 WP per game by Cubs pitchers--.45 in 2017.

3) 1.64 E per game by Cubs--0.63 in 2018.

4) 0.82(!) Balks per game by Cubs pitchers--0.083 in 2017.

5) Lester and Quintana have an ERA under 2.50, Darvish and Hendricks are under 3.00.

6) Contreras and Rizzo are the only Cubs hitting above .250. It seems like the year is 1968 instead of 2018.

7) A "stand on first base" option needs to be added so that human runners don't get picked off 2 to 3 times per game.

8) It seems like the RNG is forced to create one of every possible play in every game regardless of the actual statistical probability--just because a balk is possible it does not mean there should be one every game!

The worst part is that the Cubs are 20+ games over .500 and are the only team in the division with a winning record

Other posts have mentioned the graphical glitches with the play on the field not matching the PBP text, the almost impossible chance for a human player to attempt to steal second base, the almost impossible chance for a successful sacrifice bunt by a human controlled team, etc. Overall a not very enjoyable experience.

I am glad I waited for the Steam sale this year.

Please give us an option to turn off some of these more "subjective" plays and have as pure a correct statistical simulation as possible.

How many games have you played? Sounds like a small sample size issue. Maybe not play as the Scrubs.
While I will concede stealing might be an issue if you switch to pitch by pitch mode it is easier to steal or use run & Hit. The team i currently have i dont play smallball much but I can typically bunt even with bad bunters. What is the bunt rating for the ones you are using?
post stats.

Yup, small sample size...

Also, the 2018 player ratings are based on projections so it is no wonder they do not match the 2018 real MLB results completely.

There are also way too many standout plays in the PBP.

I sim the first six innings of every game in my league and there will be 2 and 3 great plays in the last three innings... that's too many.

It makes the game far more exciting than a regular MLB game.

I hope Markus didn't do this on purpose.
