My First Historical Attempt

I just started today a historical replay starting in 1987. Everything is unedited with one exception, which is that I forced the Cone/Hearn trade because it occurred before the 1987 season but didn't show in the game.

Sim season 1, and lo and behold, KC won it all (barely). Bo, George and Tartabull were huge. 4-1 in LCS and 4-3 over Houston in the WS.

The only major deal I made was to trade for Tom Henke and agreeing to a STL proposal to send me Vince Coleman (because it came right as I got a bunch of messages that Lonnie Smith was not happy to not be playing)..

In the off-season, I drafted Garry Sheffield! And Curt Schilling! And Cris Carpenter! I signed Tim Raines to what probably was a too big of a contract. I am worried it will hurt me when I have to sign Tartabull, etc.

So here is the end of season home screen from 1987 and then the start of 1988. That is pretty salty. Usually I have to cheat (edit) to get that kind of result!!!

That's hilarious. I was wondering how he was there at like the 5th round! I didn't even look at the profile wanting to get to next season! I thought maybe I messed up and had random year debut or something like that on!
