Tournaments: lengthening leding period till the end

If this can be implemented in this year's version - great!
During a tournament, the club teams lend their players to the national teams. When those national teams are eliminated, they give the players back to the club teams.
Would it be possible (even as an option, because not all tournaments are played during off days of leagues) to delay the players' return to the club teams, until after the tournament ends, after the final has been played and the awards announced?
For example: I tried to run an upper playoff (automatically) and a lower playoff (manually; re-creating what happens in some sports, to determine ranking or other).
Unfortunately, the lower playoff teams all had ghost players (unlike the group stage, when all their players were "real").

Looks like you just need a built-in consolation playoff.
