Recreating early baseball (specifically - night)

I'm not sure if this has ever been brought up, or considered, or thought of...
But so far, there has not been a way to recreate early baseball, in terms of lack of lights, specifically no games ending early due to darkness.
(There are other factors - poor lighting and such - that go along with it, but that would be very hard to program)
In addition, even if some fields installed lights, not all of the fields in a given league had lights (see Field, Wrigley before August, 1988)
Thoughts? Comments? Is this even possible to program?
