Completed Season but in 160 Games?
Hi,
I played the 1988 season and just completed. I came in first place with a record of 103-57. Lenny Dykstra hit 361 and led the league in most offensive categories. I looked at another team and they played 161 games? Is something wrong? |

Doubt it. Some postponed games in real life were probably not made up.

The as played schedules follow the real-life schedule as it was played, meaning games that were postponed won't be there in the schedule since they were't played in real life. Make up games are in the schedule on the date they were actually played. And if a club didn't make up all its postponed games, as was, and still is, sometimes the case, that is reflected in the as played schedules as well. The original schedule files contain the schedule as it was originally published, the way it was intended to be played before postponements started causing changes. All clubs will play out their full slate of games when using the original schedules. |
