Can't Change SP in the nightcap of a twinbill?

In my play ‘em all out game my team was scheduled to play a twin-bill yesterday. We got crushed in the opener 13-3, and after completing that first game I saved my game, closed out OOTP21 and took a break for lunch to let the pain dissipate.
When I returned to play the nightcap I decided to start my long reliever instead of the scheduled fifth starter. I was in the usual pre-game substitution screen , but to my chagrin OOTP would not allow me to swap in a different pitcher to start the game. Got a message box saying ~can’t do that now~. I figured out that the “must face x batters rule” was in force even at that pre-game moment. I warmed up another pitcher right from the start and green light in the bullpen box was gone until the first three hitters each had an at bat.
I left the scheduled SP in and we squeaked out a win in the nightcap, but it seems to me the must face x batters rule should not be in force until actual game play begins.

That’s interesting. It could be reading the double-header as one continuous game.
