Massachusetts Baseball League

I'm gonna use OOTP 16, because that's the only version of OOTP I have, and I don't want to buy OOTP 19 right now. I really hope this thread is in the correct place, because there's no OOTP 16 sim section.

The Massachusetts Baseball League (MBL) is a fictional independent league with teams spread across Massachusetts. The league will start in 1990 with 8 teams. 4 in the east, 4 in the west.

There is also a minor league, because why not? Same format. 8 teams, 4 in each divisions.

TOP 25 BATTING PROSPECTS:

TOP 25 PITCHING PROSPECTS:

There's no stats yet obviously, because I haven't started preseason yet. However, according to OOTP, Lowell looks stacked. They'll be a team to look out for this upcoming season.

MBL standings as of the inaugural all star game:

So far, most teams are around .500. To be honest, I thought Lowell would be running away with the West with all that talent, but while they are 2nd, they aren't doing too bad. Worcester is the team that is not only running away with the West, but also with the league, as they are .592 with a 29-20 record. Other than that, all other teams are rather close to each other. Then there's Webster.... yikes.

MMLB standings:

Nobody cares about the minor leagues, but I'll post stuff about it from time to time.

Having lived briefly in Marblehead, I guess I need to either root for Lowell or Boston. I think I'll go with Lowell as Boston is a bit too obvious.

MBL STANDINGS AS OF THE 1990 TRADING DEADLINE:

Worcester is still the #1 team in the league. Nothing's really changed other than the Bears moving to #1 in the west. Also, Webster seems to be improving. At this rate, they could pass Quabbin and become the 2nd worst team in the league!

MMLB Standings:

Worcester's minor league team is also #1 in their league too. Definitely a team to watch come the playoffs.

Regular season has ended.

MBL STANDINGS:

Lowell ended up first in the league. And Webster managed to not be the worst team. The worst team this season ended up being Quabbin by .010.
MMLB STANDINGS:

Meanwhile in MMLB, the Greenfield Giants managed to go 35-55 with a .389 record. At least their major league affiliate won the MBL west?

Results from round 1 of the playoffs in both leagues will be posted soon.

Interesting setup with just 4 teams per league

I usually have no less than 16 teams per league

I actually have a similar idea but for Long Island, since that is where i live. My one question is was there any method to picking the teams? based on Region? size? etc.
