Kent Burdick appeared in a Cinci. Reds uniform in a Topps Vault photo on the OOTP thread in August, 2012. Because the OOTP website re-set all its pages, I no longer have the exact address of the page the photo was on, but if you are sufficiently interested, you can plow through all the photos of that month to find it.

Edgar "Rusty" Ward is shown in an action shot trying to avoid the catcher at home plate. Rusty is in the uniform of the Tampa Tarpons.

This photo of Greg Sinatro is from the Hartford (CT) Courant of January 30, 1972. It shows him signing his initial contract with the Cincinnati Reds.

A first-round pick of the Astros in 1990, he spent five seasons in their system and concluded a 13-year minor league career with five seasons in the Reds' chain. He retired following the 2002 season after batting .313 -- his best year as a pro.
In between, he spent single seasons with Brewers, Twins, Angels and Cardinals organizations -- invited to the big league camp by St. Louis in 1997. He retired with 1,191 minor league hits, but only 125 above Double-A. The photo is part of Steve Moore's archive.

But he was on the verge of making it to the majors in the spring of 1983 after a bang-up after a .292-15-790 1982 season in Triple-A. But the Red Sox returned him to Pawtucket, where his production fell off and his window soon closed.

From his Edgewood Regional High School Yearbook Lester Fullylove. Cincinnati Reds 7th overall pick from the 1965 June Draft. He played in the Reds System 1965-67. He played for Aberdeen in 1965 a Orioles Minor League Affiliate, which must have also been associated with the Reds. A few of Reds Draft Picks played there that year.

Now THAT is a name I have NOT heard in almost 35 years!

Being from the Boston area, it wasn't uncommon for me and some friends to drive about a little over an hour to watch the PawSox play, particularly if the Red Sox were on the road and the game wasn't televised/rained out/late night from the west coast. A few times, Bosox played a day game and the Pawsox were at night. That was our own double header.

For every Wade Boggs, Rich Gedman and Fred Lynn, there was a Gino Gentile..and as long as he wore a Red sox jersey, be it a Boston or Pawtucket one...he was one of us.

Big Brian Lane was a Texan to the core, and not a bad third baseman when he pushed his way to Double-A for the Reds when still just 19 years old. He would drive in 89 runs that year (1989) and seem poised to make his own name in baseball. His father, Harlan Lane, was a football star at Baylor and was drafted by both the AFL and NFL.
He was just 20 when got his first AAA at-bats, but failed to hit .200 and wound up back in Chattanooga. Any hope he had of finding his stroke was badly damaged when he missed the entire 1991 season with a knee injury.
He returned to Double-A Chattanooga in 1992, but was stalled at that level for the subsequent two seasons.
Lane retired at age 24 following a decent 1993 season (10-57-.264) to go into business.

Pitcher Edwin Earle Van Brunt, Sr., was on the Boston Braves' spring roster in 1925 and 1926. Following his active playing career, he became the athletic director at the Montclair Academy in Montclair, NJ. In 1969, the Academy named its baseball field in his honor.

Among his pitching accomplishments was striking out Babe Ruth, Bob Meusel, and Lou Gehrig in an exhibition game.

The photo of him is from his find-a-grave website. He died on June 27, 1979 in Phoenix, AZ.

Never reaching the big leagues (hence this thread), never pictured on a Topps card, Inocencio Guerrero nonetheless appeared in eBay as as Vault release Sunday. He was an absolute fixture in the Braves' system, playing in the organization from 1979 to 1988, washing out at age 27.
But remarkably, he played for six years with the Class AA Greenville (soon to become Mississippi) Braves (84-88), playing 533 games and picking up 462 hits and hitting 52 of his 90 career homers. His best year arguably would have been '86 (.285-11-55 in just 98 games, striking out only 57 times while walking 51). He had a career .265 average.

Don Gerhardt of Mobile, Alabama, signed with the Cardinals out of high school in 1959. A pitcher, his pro career lasted just 3 years and he never rose above Class D. His career record was 7 - 12, with an ERA of 5.15. From the numbers, it looks like he had some decent heat...and some control issues. In 208 innings, he struck out 169 and walked 161. After his pro career was over, Don remained involved with sports, coaching in youth leagues for decades. Don passed away July 7, 2017 at the age of 76.

The attached accompanied Don's obituary and is from either 1959 (Wytheville Cardinals) or 1960 (Dothan Cardinals). In both seasons, he led the pitching staff in appearances.

Always thought this guy had a great name for a player of the Fifties. Finally came across a photo of him. The photo shows him with the Orlando Senators. Ed hailed from Lake Mary, Florida, a town between Orlando and Sanford.

Ed, a southpaw pitcher, was a non-roster invitee with the 1951 Washington Senators.

Another player with an interesting name, Mr. True was a pitcher who showed up as a non-roster invitee (replacement player) with the Cleveland Indians in 1995.

The photo depicts him in the uniform of the Marlow (OK) High School Outlaws. In his senior year at Marlow H.S., he tossed four no-hitters, struck out 1.8 batters for every inning pitched, and racked up a measly 0.72 ERA.

Teenage Willie, still literally a kid, spending the winter of 1950-51 playing for the Almendares Scorpions in the Cuban league.

(Almendares was a suburb of Havana; the team was the main rival to the Habana Lions.)

James "Jim" or "Jimmy" Callaway was a catcher and sometimes infielder in the Braves' minor league system from 1957 through 1961. The photo on the left is from the Panama City (FL) News-Herald of Sept. 7, 1957, and shows him in the uniform of the Panama City Fliers. The photo on the right shows him with the University of Georgia, where he played shortstop and was the team captain during his senior year.

Bob Turzilli was a catcher in the Braves' minor league system from 1965 through 1971. He was a non-roster invitee with the Atlanta Braves in 1966.
Two photos are attached which show him with the Richmond Braves.

The photo on the left is from the Richmond Times-Dispatch of May 4, 1969. The photo on the right was posted previously on OOTP, but I did not record who posted it. It was posted in Sept., 2016.

Rex "Sam" "Rowland" Houston was an outfielder who appeared on the 1972 spring roster of the Atlanta Braves. The photo shows him in action with the Long Beach Polytechnic High School baseball team. The photo is from the Los Angeles Times of May 22,1968.
