I sent PM's to the 4 owners (Icetea, Shane & Gunsmoke) that haven't replied to the roll call post to see if they will be back for season 2 or not.

If any of you guys happen to see them lurking around on the forum, you might check to see if they are coming back.

If by chance they won't be coming back, it would make it easier if we could get replacement owners on board before the draft.

#EDIT........Thunder has checked in through Romultiltus. 1 down three to go.

I have started a new thread (named UTBA II Draft Thread) where the draft will be conducted. Myself, Romultiltus and jbergey will monitor that thread under the user name utbamod.

I will announce the start date for the draft here in this thread as well as in the new one. All drafting and trades during the draft will be posted in the draft thread only.

I am protesting the loss to Langford. The HW Champ has never lost to Langford. He was robbed and Cheated, Langford put something on or in his gloves.

Schmeling is gonna rip the head off the next guy he faces.

Update on returning owners.

All owners have checked in except Shane. All will be back except for one so far.

Gunsmoke will be leaving us for season 2, so we'll need to find at least one new owner as of right now. I have a list of 2 people interested in joining sent to me by Romultiltus.

I'll be gone most of the weekend (fishing trip). So no computer for me till late Sunday night. Hope to see a PM from Shane when I get home.

Sorry my friend, but Sam was avoided like the plague, and there had been a rumour going around that Sam wanted to return to Canada,(started by me) and join the Tornados, but after he got a look at my squad he quickly changed his mind..

Romultiltus is working on a replacement owner for Gunsmoke. As soon as we secure a new owner for the league, I should be able to set the draft date and get it rolling.

I will be gone all day Saturday but with 12 hour window to make picks I should be alright.

I'd like to welcome atomzero to the league. He will be taking over the Punching Bags franchise for Gunsmoke.

New owner atomzero has promptly relocated the team out of Melbourne Australia and moved them to Chicago, Illinois. The team has also been renamed the Little Reds. The Little Reds home bouts will be held at Wrigley Field. I hope the goat curse doesn't affect the boxing team as it has the baseball team.

A decision will be made later this week on the Boxing Kangaroos franchise and I'll tentatively set the draft to start November 1, 2008.

Welcome to the league atomzero! Good luck with your first season. Its a fun league with a great cast of owners. I am still struggling to get my Left Jab squad to be a contender. Its been rough but that is part of the fun. Take care and welcome to UTBA II

I have the 6th pick in the draft and would like to move up..if you guys who have the 1 and 2 spots want to talk..hit me up. I am willing to give up quite a bit to move up to the top 2. I have 3 picks in the top 30 to barter with and might even consider throwing in Earnie Shavers who is approaching his prime.
