Cards and Cubs to play across the pond in 2020
The Cubs and Cardinals will be heading across the pond in 2020 to play a pair of games in London. The Yankees and Red Sox are playing there next weekend, and baseball has said they want it to be an ongoing thing.
So I guessed that Cards-Cubs would be next. AP story says Cardinals will be home team for both games, hopefully that doesn't mean Redbirds will play just 79 home games next season while the Cubs will get to keep all of theirs. However, I have a feeling that is the case. The Cubs probably don't want to give up the home games, because the might mean something in the standings While the Cardinals will gladly surrender their's, as along as they are well compensated for it. I believe I have a pair of Facebook friends from the Jay Buckley baseball tours from England, hope you get to enjoy these games. Link to story: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/spo...e-13905827.php |
