May 17th 1886 Update

Washington Nationals Update: Nationals did not climb in the standing and are standing in second place just a half game behind the St Louis Browns. Our rotations is working well
together. John Clarkson (8-4, 1.41 era) is leading the staff. Rookie Ice Box Chamberlain (6-6, 2.80 era) is still learning the ropes. Hardy Richardson (.315, 2 HR, 16 RBIs) is our leading batter.

News around the league: Cap Anson (St Louis Maroons) belted his 2000th hit of his career. The New York Giants are about to jump out of the pack in the National League. Giants are
relying on their young pitching staff, Stump Wiedman (9-2, 2.18 era) and James Burke (9-4, 1.57 era). Jack Rowe (.356, 2 HR, 20 RBIs) is top of the world, he is ranked second in Batting
Average behind Paul Hines (.367, 3 HR, 21 RBIs) of Cincinnati
