Goalie Of The Year
How is the goalie of the year award calculated? I've just finished the 4th year of a custom league in which my goalie's taken this award 3 times. Problem is he's usuually around 6th or 7th in save % and GAA in a 10 team league. He's never in the top 3 in any cataegory (aside from games played and sometimes shutouts) SO it's real bizarre to see him win this year after year while the other goalie award winners are shunned.

Wins, shutouts, and total games played are also weighed heavily in addition to save percentage, and there are some smaller factors as well. How narrow is the gap between him and the rest of the league in save percentage? If it's only a few thousandths of a point that won't be enough to override the difference in other areas.

Last season, the leading goalie had a .932 save % and a 1.66 GAA, 26 wins in 39 starts (54 game season), 8 SO
My guy had .911 save % a 2.33 GAA, 21 wins in 50 starts, 7 SO . So not even close. |

Sebastian mentioned we changed the formula at some point from what I described above, so I think I need to take another look at it, particularly the save% component.
