moving players from/to active roster?
i have 3 players on my active roster OUT for under 2 weeks. I also have 3 guys already on the 15day DL (all six are infielders!!!!).
I dont want to place them on DL for 15 days, because i need them back in the line-up before 15 days. I must be able to simply move players between the secondary & active rosters without using DL, but i cant for the life of me figure it out. can it be done? |

Yeah, it means designate for assignment.
If a player is on the 40 man roster, he needs to be waived before he is designated for assignment. That is, every team will have a shot at claiming him before he goes to the DFA screen. Once he is DFA'd you have ten days (or whatever you set it to) to trade him, cut him or re-assign him. If the player isn't on the 40-man roster, then you don't need to waive him first to DFA him. |
