A 17-game winning streak from May 31 to June 17th, my longest ever.
It was much needed as I was 26-27 after May 30.

Hello, Old Friend
I just won a game in which I got shut down by Warren Spahn but came back against the opponents' bullpen. Curious, I clicked on their Warren Spahn and...it's my old Warren Spahn. Aw, hello, old friend. Glad to see you're doing well. Good luck to you.

Won a game 41-1 yesterday & beat the Bronx Bombers 8-7 in extra innings in a tournament game where Perfect cards were essentially against the rules (diamond or lower). A few special notes...
Olerud had 10 RBI in the game. 14 runs were plated in the 2nd inning off of Schilling, Sasaki, Jose Fernandez & Nolan Ryan.

Ya know, usually I can tell from the names if a player is a historical or live card, but Brooks Pounders and Frank Schwindel totally sound like they should have been playing about 80-100 years ago.

Kent Tekulve
Tekulve picked up his first save today. I had to play him. What happened to these characters?

Gooden 18 Ks in a loss
Dwight Gooden followed up Vida's 7000 PP achievement with a 9000 PP 2-for-1 of his own...
He struck out 18 and Struck out the side on 9 pitches? (immaculate inning) But while Vida won 23 games in a row, Gooden took the L in this game.

Probably not anywhere near a record but one of my teams Cranbrook Diamonds just lost its 14 consecutive game. I have tried shuffling the lineup and moving a few players that were inactive.
8 games were lost by 1 run. The losing streak started with a 2 - 16 blowout away game. W-L went from 46-36 to 46-50. I am hoping this post changes my luck. Edit Finally won a game. streak ended at 14

Shook this thread again
This was a good one. Ordonez comes in in the late innings for defense. He's batting .100 in a handful of at-bats this season.

They used to discuss a Mets game from the '80s that went until 5 in the morning complete with a rain delay. Went 20+ innings. The longest I've had in PT was 20 regular season. .
Elias here at pretty quick glance refers to at least one 26 inning game. (May 1, 1920 - Brooklyn vs. Boston?) & if I'm reading it right, the most innings in a World Series game was 14 innings, multiple times. Images are a couple from last night... Ordonez with the Game-winner in game 4 of the World Series I think it was... aaaand game 7 of my 2nd PL title, in which there was only a 13th inning solo HR off the bat of Christian Yelich. The pitching was beautiful in that one. 5 relievers in a 13-inning shared shutout to win the championship. If you look at the WPA graph #3 listed was a routine fly ball where the final out was in the right fielder's glove. Dropped it. It would have made the series 3-1, Reds & all other things the same we would have lost the series in 5 games. How about that?

Mort Cooper (96 OVR) (St. L Cardinals) (Mundy Mustangs) became, I believe anyway, the first pitcher to no-hit the New York Flyers... in the fifteenth game of the season.
It's tough to be no-hit. But I need a sort of breather this week.

So that 26-inning game was a tie between the Boston Braves & the Brooklyn Dodgers. Both starting pitchers went the distance and recounted that they weren't all that fatigued because there were not many stressful situations during the 1-1 tie? I think they both scored 1 run in the 5th inning?
The record for games that were decided without some kind of delay or ...intermission with a winner is 25 innings I think? The Mets & the Cardinals in the 1970s and another 25 inning game in the AL. The Mets have played in a few long ones. That one in the 1980s took over 9 hours to complete but total was "only" 19 innings. The final score however was a memorable 16-13 besides going over 9 hours total. I believe the listed record for 1-run victories in the season...just browsing through other records is 46. I remember I went 48-12 one season. I think my final record that year was 102-60 so if it was it broke the RL record & 1-run victories accounted for 47% of all my wins. A note on the 25-inning game between the Mets & the Cardinals was that the game ended on a pickoff attempt involving a balk and an overthrow. The ball was not dead according to the rules at the time, &...I suppose the runner made it to 3rd on the overthrow and was awarded home to finally end the game?, ha.

17-11 15 inning game. 9th inning score was 6-6.
EACH team with 2 runs in the 12th, 3 runs in the 13th. Warbirds scored 6 in the 15th. Doc Gooden took the loss to drop to 16-2 as a reliever!!!
