They are at the front of the thread, and team pictures as of April 13, 1901 are shown in the first twelve teams' related posts. I just have to provide basic team/city-related setting-up posts for Tracyton, Tran City, and Willson, then give a basic rundown of the sports-related situation as of 1901 for Slaabovia, then talk a bit about the origins of the Slaabovian Republic League.

Once those posts are updated as needed, I will continue from that point on, only updating the necessary posts early in the thread, if and whenever necessary, or referring to them as needed, I think. CD out.

You mentioned in at least one thread that you had people write up backstories for various places and teams in your IPA, I believe. And that's what I've been trying to do with the updates to the earlier posts, at least to a degree, so that they are aware of the overall natures of things in this fictional nation, at least a little.

As for when I'll do the same thing for the teams and locations present for the CKU when it's founded, I'll handle those backstories and histories as needed later, I'm sure. It may not be for a while yet, but I hope that I'll be able to get that far by the end of 2019's regular season, if not sooner, just the same.

Will post more information later, Lord willing, if and when I can, though, Eugene. CD out.

If you create players, and you want to see them, do as follows. Keep in mind I have not yet installed OOTP 19 on either of my computers, most likely, but that I'm still using 18, at the current time. I don't think things have changed in that regard with 19, but I don't know for sure yet, of course. If it's still enough like 18, however, you might be able to do the following things.

First, go to your appropriate league.

Second, go to reports and info, then to league reports home.

Third, click on either rookie draft pool b. or rookie draft p.

Fourth, then proceed as desired and as possible.

IF and when real MLB teams come into this setup, it is not likely that they will be able to have the history behind them, come to think of it, in terms of records and all. But that's just something that can't be helped here, unfortunately, it seems.

That's probably not going to be a major issue here, however, because we'd be on an alternate Earth already, so things aren't necessarily going to be entirely as they were back in the first decade or so of the 20th Century, of course. Also, I might want to create certain historical people as players and/or team personnel, seeing as there will be some differences between our real Earth of the time and the Earth of this game world, after all.

For instance, FDR, seeing as he won't be the President in the related timeline come WWII, might be a player somewhere in terms of this saved game/dynasty. I might need facegens for certain historical people I might include here in it, as well, for sure, if that is the case for them somehow.

Some information about the tricameral national legislature, at least.

The House of Commons is similar in many ways to our House of Representatives. However, one must be at least 30 years of age to serve in it, and they may not serve past the term in which they turn 60 in it. Terms are three years at a time, at present, with elections every three years.

The House of Lords is similar in certain ways to the Senate in the United States. One must be at least 40 years of age to serve in it, and they may not serve past the term they turn 80 in it. Roughly half the current membership of the House of Lords is hereditary, more or less, while most of the rest are electable to nine-year terms. Those that are electable to nine-year terms are in one of three classes, much like we do things here in the United States for our Senators. Each class of Lords/Ladies gets elected three years apart, instead of two years apart as we do here. As for those who are not electable or hereditary members of the House of Lords, many are like certain members of the House of Lords in the United Kingdom's Parliament at present, in that their seat is only theirs for a certain period of time, either by appointment or for some other reason.

As for the House of Elders, the minimum age for those in it is 60 years of age, and it is primarily made up of religious leaders representing the various belief systems practiced in the Slaabovian Republic at any time. Its representation is proportion-based, and there are no term limits present for it, as long as the members serve in times of good behavior, once they are appointed by the President based on recommendations of the state or territorial or district governors.

As for the Prime Minister, the Prime Minister is chosen by lot among the nine most senior members of all three houses, in terms of seniority, at present. They remain Prime Minister as long as they serve in good behavior and do not resign or lose their seat in their current House for any reason, including, of course, death, or lose a no-confidence vote.

In the event of a unplanned vacancy in the office of Prime Minister, a new leadership council is held between the remaining leaders of the national legislature, and then the President of the Republic appoints the temporary Prime Minister from a list of candidates provided by that leadership council, and that temporary Prime Minister will serve until the next scheduled national General Election's results are known and confirmed beyond a reasonable shadow of doubt.

That's enough information for now, at least, I think, about Slaabovia's tricameral legislature, folks. CD out.

At the current time, the presidency of the Slaabovian Republic rotates between people from different states, territories, and/or the Federal District. And no more than one state, territory, or Federal District can have representation in two consecutive administrations as either the President or Vice President, for Constitutional reasons, except in cases of national emergency or other events that may require that to be true.

The state of Martinelandia will not be allowed to put up a candidate for either President or Vice President again until their turn comes up in the selection process, once President Lancaster's administration is finally over, for whatever reason, per that Constitutional requirement. They might not be able to put up another candidate at least until all other States and/or the Federal District who have not held the Presidency have had a chance to lead the country. There is talk of a Constitutional Amendment being drafted and/or discussed to allow the territories a chance to send people to Slaabojevo in order to serve the nation as either President or Vice President, but at this time, it's not gotten much popular traction and/or support all over the country just yet.

The states that have not yet had a President serve the nation are Bublitzania, Rainbowland, Turtletania, and for the purposes of Presidential service, the Federal District is considered equivalent to a state, Constitutionally speaking. The state of Bublitzania seems to be the early favorite for such service once Lancaster's term finally ends, but Slaabovia and Rainbowland seem to have some potentially decent contenders for that position later on, as far as anybody can currently tell here easily enough.

Currently, the official length of the Presidential and Vice Presidential term of office is three years, but debates have begun about potentially extending term lengths to somewhere between four and nine years, already, along with potentially limiting the number of terms a President may serve consecutively if such an extension for the length of a term is ever Constitutionally implemented.

At the present time, no President has served more than four consecutive three-year terms, but that may eventually change at some point in the future, some people believe. Although nobody yet knows if that will ever be the case here for sure, of course.

The next few posts in this thread will feature some Cupids players out for the day on the Cupids' first off-day of the season. I will also post pictures of the relevant players' profiles, so you know at least a bit about them.

Remember, though, even if they are listed as being from certain places elsewhere in the world, they might not be considered in-world/in-story/in-game as actually having been born where they are listed from. Their families' ancestral homes of x number of generations before the present may be there, but that does in no way mean that they were necessarily born in those places, unless stated directly here or elsewhere.

Once this scene is over that I am sharing here, in multiple posts, I will progress the saved game as necessary, appropriate, possible, and/or desired, folks. I want you to be able to get at least a bit familiar with the players off the field too, as often as possible, if I can make it possible for you to all do so here, as a matter of fact.

Okay, here we go, then, folks. Prepare to read, as you like and can, and hopefully I can help you enjoy this dynasty and the people in it rather well in time, Lord willing, of course. With no further ado, let's cut to the story here:

On the first off-day of the season for the Folliston Cupids, after a shorter than normal team practice and workout session, four players went out for the rest of the day, once Sheremi Julbour, their team's manager, gave them all the rest of the day off to spend as they each so chose. And not only they were given the rest of the day off, but so were the rest of their teammates as well, of course.

Those four players were Remke Raijmakers, Quintino Tuomino, Tiziano Platina, and Hyang-nam Chang, and they ranged in ages between 19 in Hyang-nam's case to 22 in Remke's case. While Tiziano was 21 and Quintino was 20, at that time. All were dark-haired and had brown eyes, but only Tiziano had black hair of the four. Three of the four were nearly, at, or above 6 feet in height, but the shortest and the lightest of them was Remke at 5'6" and 160 pounds.

They walked out of the Cupids' temporary stadium not far from where it sat just east of the Willson Brook, and headed on foot towards downtown Folliston with each other, and past several dozen buildings and homes along the way, conversing mostly in Slaabinese with each other as they did so. They talked mainly about their respective upbringings and lives to this point in them, and a bit about their respective ancestral heritages from three other nations in the world, as they did so. As they walked and talked with each other, they also passed by where the Cupids' permanent stadium, Heartsongs Field, was expected to be located elsewhere in Folliston somewhere near the decades-old State Capitol building.

Still heading primarily east, going wherever their feet ultimately would lead them to go, they eventually came to a mostly Italian-themed pizza and pasta place a few streets away from Folliston's main east-west street in its downtown area. They were soon ushered inside by a young eighteen-year-old woman that had shoulder-length wavy blonde hair and bright blue eyes, for she was one of the hostesses for The Noodle Castle on Jupsmustu Street three streets away from Forbol Street to the south, and roughly three blocks away from where the mostly north-south State Capitol grounds lay flanking either side of Vodolc Avenue further to the east, so that they wouldn't block the sidewalks they were now on here like they might now be doing. Little did they yet know that she would become very important to at least one of them in the future, nor did she yet know that they'd be very important to her as well, as of roughly 3 pm local time. But that would come to be known in time, if at all possible, somehow, for sure.

Orlona Sorauma was the young woman's name, and she was 5'8" and about 150 pounds, with a fairly cheerful disposition and a moderate build for herself. She soon escorted them to a table somewhere near one corner of the restaurant, even as she briefly brushed an errant bit of lighter blonde hair out of one eye with her free hand that wasn't holding a clipboard with an attached quill-like pen in it.

Moments later, she said, "Your waitress should be with you shortly," in Slaabinese, with a slight Gaelic-like accent seeming to peek out at least a little bit here, somehow. The men nodded, as they sat at the table, before she briefly readjusted the straps of her mostly purple, tan, and green apron while also freeing some of her hair from under one such strap. Acknowledging their nods with both a smile and a wink briefly directed at each of them, she then went back to her usual post near the restaurant's main entrance, so that she could greet anyone else who might patronize the restaurant now as well.

Once she was away from them all here, Tiziano asked, as he looked around the restaurant, seeing as this was the first time he'd been in it, "What do you think of her, Quintino?"

"Too tall, for one thing. I'm more attracted to shorter women or girls, to be honest."

Remke said, "I see. She seems nice, though. I don't mind women or girls who are taller than me, but she still seems a little too young for my tastes. And also, I prefer darker-haired ladies more often than lighter-haired ones. He smiled at his companions, even the youngest one of them all, Hyang-nam.

Hyang-nam Chang, with some ancestry dating back several generations from somewhere near Inchon, Korea, smiled back at Remke, who was due to face the Tran City Bucks in the next game for the Cupids as their starting pitcher, said, "Well, if none of you are apparently interested in her all that much, maybe I should try to see if she might be interested in me later. I haven't met many blondes in my life, but I've always preferred them over darker-haired girls. Not only that, she doesn't seem too much younger than me now either. And I think we'd perhaps match up well with each other, from what I can apparently tell about her so far."

Just then, their waitress arrived, and smacked down four menus on their table, and said, "Forget about it, she doesn't date, as far as I know, young man," in what sounded like Greek or Hebrew-accented Slaabinese, from what the four men could currently tell here well enough. Quintino and Tiziano's eyes flickered open at those words from the brown-haired and green-eyed Aphyne Krikystheus, having briefly closed, especially Quintino's, and unexpectedly Quintino and Aphyne's eyes locked for several quiet moments with each other, much to the mutual surprise of them both and the other three men at the table.

"No way," breathed Quintino, as he couldn't tear his eyes away from the 5'4" and roughly 120-pound Aphyne who had an rather athletic build, even with her small size, and waist-length braided hair with multiple ribbons of various colors woven into her braid. "The girl of my dreams, and to think I've never seen her before in person, in truth."

Aphyne, for her part, said, "You must be kidding, stranger. I've never met you before, and I don't expect to meet you again, after you leave here."

Quintino asked, "By any chance, did you happen to attend an all-girls private school when you were in school? I can't explain why I am wondering this, but somehow, I get that feeling."

"Yes, but ....," she started, before an unexpected rip of some sort appeared suddenly in the air near the men's table and where she was now standing. Five seconds later, three sword-carrying men, wearing what appeared to be strange fusions of modern business suits and medieval suits of armor, quickly dropped out of that rip. Each man somehow landed safely on their feet before they then ran over to her, apparently very concerned about something important, although it wasn't yet known what that matter was, for sure.

Not long after they ran to her, a large being of some yet-unknown sort dropped out of the rip as well, followed by several fighters similarly dressed to the swordsmen but wielding what appeared to be staffs and clubs and various throwing weapons, and the three swordsmen shouted something in a yet-unfamiliar tongue, while assuming a triangle formation around the men's table and Aphyne. The other fighters had been fighting that large being as well, when they dropped out of the rip right behind it. The apparent leader of the swordsmen then quickly asked Aphyne, in what appeared to be a language strangely similar to Slaabinese, but with more of an older manner of speaking and with a very heavy accent sounding at least a bit like American English, "Are you a member of the Turtle Pilgrim Clan, by any chance?"

"Who are they?" asked Aphyne, somehow barely able to understand his question, although she didn't know just why yet. Even as that same man slashed at a large appendage of some sort that was apparently reaching in their general direction at the moment. The men at the table quickly stood, and wondered what was going on here, and what they should do now.

"A Clan now in danger, and this being is seeking out potential members of the Clan, even if they may not know they're members of the Clan. Apparently it thinks that several members of an ancient Clan are here now, and we are sworn to defend those who it may be targeting for capture or death. This restaurant must be evacuated immediately, for they will capture or kill anyone they think is part of that Clan," said a second swordsman near her and Tiziano's group of patrons.

"I'm not going anywhere!" she shouted, all of a sudden, in Slaabinese with the exact same accent that she'd just used in conversation with Tiziano's group of patrons.

That was a potential mistake on her part, for it immediately drew the attention of the strange being here, and they turned to face her directly, as a result. The being reared back its head, and opened its maw to reveal dozens of very sharp and pointy teeth, along with a huge prehensile forked tongue. Seconds later, several big blobs of unknown matter sped towards her and those in her immediate vicinity. Fortunately for her, several quick sword strokes from the three swordsmen sent a few gusts of wind towards those blobs and caused them to be deflected into the restaurant's ceiling, where they left a few holes in it about five or six feet in average diameter, and several thinner holes around those other holes.

When that happened, Orlona quickly rushed to Aphyne's side, while also saying, in completely unaccented Slaabinese, "Everyone out, now! This is not a joke! Tabari, get the kitchen staff out!"

Another woman quickly hurried to the kitchen area, per her instructions, and got everyone out of there using a secret underground passage moments later. She didn't argue at all with Orlona's orders, while other restaurant staff saw to the evacuation of all the other patrons in the restaurant besides Tiziano and his current companions, also without question.

As the restaurant was quickly evacuated, Orlona shouted at her co-worker and good friend, "Now is not the time to argue, Aphyne! Apparently that being is now seriously interested in you, so if you want to stay safe, do what the strangers say!"

Three of the other fighters jumped on that being, and stabbed at it with their staffs and clubs, while two others threw what appeared to be throwing knives of some sort towards what seemed to be its eyes. The knives hit those eyes, and did major damage wherever they hit, but the being was still somehow able to see at least a little bit, while flailing about and trying to buck off those now on its back and head.

It quickly took the significant efforts of Tiziano, his companions, and Orlona to restrain and subdue Aphyne long enough to allow the swordsmen to finally immobilize the being they and others were now battling in the restaurant, as the battle damage in it quickly began to increase exponentially. Three minutes later, they had Aphyne completely out of the restaurant, much to her displeasure.

Ten minutes later and with five other nearby buildings completely evacuated, in whatever manners possible and all, the pizza and pasta place, along with two other buildings, went up in flames and all, having been destroyed by four of the fighters, one of which was a swordsman, taking both them all and the strange being to eternity, one way or another. Either to Paradise or to the Pit, as the case might be for each of them, in fact.

Next part of the scene. Still setting things up for potential future events for the people involved here, whether they are known or not, for sure, folks. Hope you continue reading on here, of course.

Minutes later, as the local emergency and law enforcement personnel arrived to attend to the fires, and interview available witnesses to the fight that had just occurred, Tiziano and those he was now with asked the surviving fighters what was likely to happen in the future, once they were in a secure enough location to do so, several blocks away. Both from the Cupids' temporary stadium and from where The Noodle Castle had stood until the attack had happened not long before, in fact.

The surviving fighters made sure that they'd not be seen, heard, or detected by any beings similar enough to the one they'd just fought, nor would their current companions either. They did this by placing several devices around the area that they were now in for an abandoned warehouse's loading bay somewhere else in downtown Folliston. Then they handed each of their current non-fighting companions what appeared to be wristwatches of some sort, after first tapping their faces a couple of times.

That tapping activated communication-related circuits of some sort, and also activated a multiple-language/dialect/accent translation program. For some languages, it would take a while to fully acclimatize to the people now wearing those watches, if their spoken languages/dialects/accents were unfamiliar to the donators of the watches in question here. Meaning that if the watch-holding people spoke a language not well-known or familiar to the fighters, it might take a while for them to learn that language or those languages. And vice versa, for that matter.

Once all the watches had been prepared as needed and distributed as needed, the fighters began to speak to Tiziano and the six other people now with him and them now. The sixth person now with him was one of Tiziano's teammates, but he had not yet played for the Cupids in the regular season, currently being on the disabled list due to having back spasms already for about the last month. Although he was expected to be able to come off the disabled list within the next couple of weeks, if at all possible, in any case.

Not only that, but it was now Seung-gwan Houng's 23rd birthday this very day, and he had decided to try to enjoy himself by himself on his special day, not really knowing anyone in the area so far very well. He had come alone to The Noodle Castle, for he was in the mood for pasta then. Seung-gwan was 5'7" and 165 pounds with ancestry dating back several generations to the area of Taejon, Korea, although much of his family had long been present for generations in Slaabovia, since the 17th Century AD, at the very latest. He personally had been born near Damonopolis in Damonallo, another Slaabovian state for the Slaabovian Republic.

The fans were looking forwards to seeing him actually play for the first time in the Cupids' temporary home park, but he'd not played since March 16th, due to the aforementioned back spasms. He'd not had a good spring, at least on the hitting front, but he'd still been popular with the fans when they'd seen him during spring training. He also had just over two years of playing time in semi-pro ball prior to the founding of the SRL, mostly in the Folliston area of Slaabovia, so he was already considerably well-known in the local area, even while attending college somewhere nearby.

He had black hair and brown eyes, with a bit of a five-o'clock shadow for facial hair, and had been popular with the ladies for a very long time. But he'd not dated much since finishing high school about five years earlier, for he'd concentrated mainly on his studies and his playing of baseball since then, because he mainly wanted to make his family proud of him, if at all possible.

The second-oldest swordsman now present, who had been the third-oldest to appear in the restaurant just before the now-destroyed being had, said, "There will be more beings like that one, among others, who will certainly begin appearing all over your land, if our prophecies are correct. We tried to keep them from coming to your land, but we were unable to prevent it. We are from a land called Sartagar on what you might call an alternate Earth. They were created by a dark order of scientists and criminals and other evil people, and they seek to capture or kill anyone who may stand in their ways of not only world conquest, but dimensional and/or universal conquest." The second-oldest swordsman had been killed while taking the now-destroyed being with them into eternity, as a matter of fact, being the only swordsman of the three present swordsmen at the time capable of using a certain martial arts technique against that being.

Three more parts to this scene before we get back to the games here, I think. I don't know what's going to happen yet either on the field for the SRL's teams or not, of course, but hopefully this dynasty will be a good one to work with, et cetera, in any case.
