Robinson Lopez pitched a good game, but the same cannot be said for the Boston pitchers. The Blue Jays scored twice as many runs as they got hits as the Red Sox walked them ELEVEN times. Toronto won 6-1 Ken Phelps was the first Blue Jay player to reach 10 home runs this year. That is six wins in a row for the Jays. WP - Robinson Lopez (7-4) LP - Scott Bankhead (3-6) Record - 25-29

TRADE
To METS Bill Johnson To BLUE JAYS Rob Ducey Rafael Vazquez Joe Rogers Bob Weaver has been out-performing Johnson. The Jays decided to move him while he still has value. There are also salary concerns. Both Paul Molitor and Ken Phelps are in the final year of their contracts. If the Jays want to keep either, the money has to come from somewhere. The fans are unhappy. Jose Correa is called up from AAA.

TRADE
To GIANTS Earl Clayton Rob Rasmussen Shane Rawley Rex Palmer Hunter Myers To BLUE JAYS Joseph Prost (SF retains full salary) Jimmy Knight John Davis Fred Turner Chuck Bancroft On the face of it it seems odd to trade your starting CF, 5th starter, and utility player while you are in the midst of an 11 game winning streak, but Prost is a clear upgrade in the OF and it saves the team over a half million dollars. Rawley and Palmer are both below average players and are replaceable. Was it a good move? We'll see. Prost joins the club. Harold Damsgaard, Laurent Dupuis and Lenny Dykstra are called up from AAA. Erik Heath is sent down.
