yeah, Keuchel's HR suppression is awesome. But I think the meta has gone too far in that direction. Homers are not the only thing that matters. His strikeout/walk ratio is pretty weak and that leaves him vulnerable to swings in BABIP. Even good defense cannot prevent that entirely. Three of those seasons in the screenshot are terrible...

Honestly I have zero interest at his current inflated price.

Just got dominated in a Diamond level game by Satchel Paige again. How can he possibly be starting and pitching 180+ innings every season with only a 31 Stamina rating!?!?

With 34 starts that puts him on ~5.5 innings/game.

It is a dangerous gamble if you don't have a solid bullpen. I assume you have to carry at least an extra 1-2 arms to make it through all those long stretches.

Are you able to look at some of the games and see how he performs in later innings? I would be surprised if he did not give up more runs once he gets to inning #4 or 5.

His stats are pretty even so he should be good against both LHB and RHB in the early innings and get through them pretty quickly.

ERA as a starter

Projection based on the current talent level at perfect
Incomplete list

Empty field = too small sample

How are you arriving at the projected ERA for this list?

What formula are you using for projected ERA?

I must being doing something wrong. My OF defense is pretty good, but whenever I get an extreme flyball pitcher, they are horrible for my team. I gave up on Smoltz for one.

Kushel 86 does not allow homers, but he does walk ballers and gets hit hard.

This was a nice little surprise. I bought Tim Keefe to be my #5 SP, but I didn't even realize that he's a pretty good runner. He's actually good enough to be my #1 PR. Not worthy of batting in Perfect Leagues, though.

Never thought about finding speed for pitchers. #5would not be used often so pinch runner is useful.

Looking through my database, of Gold+ pitchers, only Keefe, the 4 Bob Gibsons, and 2 Ohtanis are worth using as pinch runners.

Last edited by DonkeyKongSr; 02-23-2019 at 08:06 PM. Reason: fixed number of Gibsons

I don't suppose you have an updated version with the new cards that have been added, do you? I've been using your numbers for weeks now, and they've been a fantastic predictor of pitcher success. With no new cards coming for OOTP19, I'd love to see a "final version" with some of the new cards like Peak Schilling, Red Ruffing, the Angels Nolan Ryan, etc.

Are you in PT2.0? Love to see this list for the next version. I think there are better pitchers in 2.0 with the change in peak definition.
